SuperSoldierRCP | Friday, September 14, 2012 - 07:49 pm Nukes are completely worthless though. They do -NO- damage to the war index. They can kill 100K people per attack but the index will not move a point. Also even nuking the game bases the amount of pop damage you need to do from the starting population. If you nuke 5M of the 40M, not only will the index not move but now you have to blow up more cities to compensate.(For some reason the game doesnt count nuked population as killed population?). Also this has the same effect on factories. If they blow up a state it doesn't count meaning you'll never be able to get the full War index points(20). Nukes are THE MOST flawed weapon of Simcountry. They are made to be some awesome weapon. Must be made on Fearless Blue, Bought in a Space Station. But the fact is for 10B i can attack 5-6targets and do 10WI compared to the damage of a nuke that does -ZERO- |
Crafty | Saturday, September 15, 2012 - 12:21 am But that again is based on C3 warring SS. Nuking pop in a PVP can be a very handy strategy, de-activating the enemies military. And that red screen does give rise to a certain blood lust. Hmm, haven't seen that screen for a while now.../me ponders... |
SuperSoldierRCP | Saturday, September 15, 2012 - 11:19 am You forget i do have PvP exp Crafty not as many as you but i've been in several myself. The point i was making is killing all that pop donest effect the WI but it will reduce there fighting strength but with the reductions in assets in warring and the increase costs. Is it worth killing 10-20% of the pop just to deactivate there military? |
Crafty | Saturday, September 15, 2012 - 01:27 pm As I'm sure you know SS, defense seems to deactive with shortages, so it makes your war easier, and if offense de-activates...great. I see exactly what you say but with PvP it's a bit different no? Presuming you have a half decent adversary it's not all over in one month, other things than just smashing the WI asap come into play. Just my way of looking at it. I really didn't know nuking a target has no effect on the WI, that IS peculiar. |
