Madhatter | Tuesday, October 14, 2008 - 05:50 am I noticed recently it was brought up that some players find it easier to get aid packages than others. I havent had a vote fail yet but i do not belive it was connections. I merely speak clearly and professionally. I think everyone should vote yes alot more. I personally have voted yes to every vote i have came across whether it was in the security council or the general vote regardless of affiliation(Clam). What does bother me is watching the Security Council Treasure Fund go up and up and up with very few aid packages ever actually put up. What we have like 10 or so players in the security council at one time. I would expect to see alot more put up for votes. Why is it so many players will vote down a aid package? Perhaps they feel they will never get one themselves. Why is it so few aid packages ever put out there. I think it is that neither has a place to look. So i propose we use this thread for players to ask for aid. If you should get a chance to get on the security council you should take the time to help out a fellow player. Please try to keep responses to another thread . I know we all will want do it. Players looking for aid packages leave your country name, how much you are requesting, what happened to get you where you are and why the simcountry players should vote yes to your aid. |
shane vataja (Fearless Blue) | Tuesday, October 14, 2008 - 06:22 am well occasonaly i vote no bc they are leaders of empires large millitary numbers and or large ammounts cash/loans in their favour but i do like to send out cash bc council has to much cash just sitting their it is almost a pointless system |
Jaffle (White Giant) | Thursday, October 16, 2008 - 02:30 am Hi Madhatter, I think this is a great idea. |
CLAM (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, October 21, 2008 - 08:42 am ummmm Breadland could use 5T |
shane vataja (Fearless Blue) | Monday, October 27, 2008 - 10:16 pm perhaps this could be a sticky in here the idea was tossed up in the LU forum |
Váli (Fearless Blue) | Thursday, October 30, 2008 - 07:59 pm Please vote for Nueva Roma to receive UN aid. He is a good new player. He has built up his country responsibly. He has not got himself into debt buying weapons and getting into trouble, so please reward his responsible playing by voting yes. |
Jaffle (Fearless Blue) | Thursday, October 30, 2008 - 11:02 pm Hi all, I voted in favour, and sent a message to my common market asking them to do the same. Let's see what happens. |
CLAM (Fearless Blue) | Thursday, October 30, 2008 - 11:35 pm Hey put up 5T for Breadland b/c it is in 7.5T debt. |
Váli (Fearless Blue) | Friday, October 31, 2008 - 01:00 am Thanks for trying but alas it is not going well unfortunatly ;-( 19 for 27 against. |
Tanis78 (Fearless Blue) | Sunday, November 2, 2008 - 11:27 pm How about an aid proposal for Red October. When he originally started playing, he made the typical mistake of creating too large of an army and running up an enormous amount of debt ($11T). With my help he has reduced his army and now is actually making a profit, however, the hole he dug hinself is quite large and restricts him from investing in his infrastructure. |
Váli (Kebir Blue) | Monday, November 3, 2008 - 01:52 am Maybe if we can get rid of the general vote the security council might actually be able to pass some proposals! |
shane vataja (Fearless Blue) | Monday, November 3, 2008 - 05:12 am the only problem is tht gives the counci more power and easier to become a courupt system |
Váli (Fearless Blue) | Monday, November 3, 2008 - 12:13 pm The system is already corrupt. 2 out of 3 people vote no everytime without thinking. In the grand scheme of thing 5 trillion is not that big a deal. |
shane vataja (Fearless Blue) | Tuesday, November 4, 2008 - 10:58 pm and the council has what 400+T and people on it dont think it can spare 5t to countries that realy need the help. we should almost jest scrap it and evenly distribute it havent seen much banning of nuklear weapons |
John R | Tuesday, November 4, 2008 - 11:32 pm Oh god, I'm just gonna take another hit at the Security Council and this time accompany it with an explicit normative framework. In fact, to adapt it to those concepts and values. |
