I don't mind helping but, I personally, would prefer that all the helping be on the chat or here. Rather than direct message.
1) everyone benefits from that.
2) I'm not the only one that knows stuff, I'm just the only one talking (Alot, others do chip in from time to time.). We might finally get some discussion and shared knowledge going.
3)Diversity of thought is better.
Alot, this you just have to pick the strategy that suits you. After all, everyone has a different idea about playing this game. My strategy is very specific, and that is to make money fast, while working on the war levels. So my advice tends to center around that. Others may have interests that are just as good, but require a different approach. You may find you like theirs better.
Some historical strategies include:
1) Raiding warlords who try to take the money they need to support there military
2) Econ warlords who finance their army through sophisticated knowledge of the trading markets
3) Credit card raiders, who just pay the GM for game cash.
4)Warlords who try to build up large multi player aggressive empires.
5)Econ warlords who try to build large multi play empires to protect against (4)
6)Seems the most common now involves alot of Xenophobia.
