Laguna | Friday, May 8, 2009 - 11:44 pm I see that if I don't mention this, nobody will. Probably because I'm last the person to still be aware of it. Today, Kebir Blue completes eight exemplar years. Years, at the exception of the last, were the achievement of an internal community capable of adjusting their way of being to the game. It wasn't the adaptation of a utopic or idealogical system to the game; it was the natural developmental of skills, behaviours and process of those who were born and raised in KB, which lead to a community striving in peace and mutual respect. Even if involved in silence, I consider Kebir Blue's community exemplar, due to it's simplicity, elegance and sagacity. In this last year, we have not decreased our participation in quality. We have seen, however, many of our valued collogues and friends depart from Simcountry. The void they left behind is felt and missed. Such void, however, can be attenuated with the flourishing of new players of equal calibre. Unfortunately, I have not witnessed such flourishing in healthy proportions. I believe there is still hope. Hope, that the perfection achieved by this world will not be lost. Hope, that those who remain will be able to teach, even if passively, those who are to follow. Hope, that those who are to follow will carry on that perfection proudly. And, most importantly, I have hope that those who are to follow will be players of calibre, who we will be glad to meet when we meet. Happy 8th birthday, Kebir Blue. May the next eight years be even better for all of us. My observations and thoughts as one of the last. |
