How long do you typically give them?

I contacted this particular CEO about a week ago to ask if there was anything I could do to help. He didn't respond, of course, because he hasn't been active recently. His software company is at 30% hiring and production and has been that way since I took over the C3 (about 3 weeks ago).

The CEO probably won't do anything. The thing you have to consider is if it's worth paying for. Make sure you check out it's profit and loss statement before nationalizing it. I did that once when I was frustrated with a private corp, only to have to close it because it lost too much money. Sometimes it's best just to leave it alone and accept the fact that it's a crappy corporation. He still has to pay you taxes one way or another.

also, you have to pay a penalty when you buy someone's corp. makes things really pricey.

So, eventually this corporation will just close and I can build a new one? Or would it be better to let it fall in value, and assuming it's been auto-upgrading this entire time, purchase it so I don't have to start from scratch?

Thanks for the help.

well, i would first msg the CEO to state the intention of Nationalize it. Some players do not care. Some do.

I would definately make it a habit to message a ceo about nationalizing, if I have a crappy corp I would rather you tell me and ask me to fix it. if you nationalize it without asking you'll only irritate me and make me want to find a way to cause you a problem.

Nationalizing is still a hostile bid. As Aaron said, make a couple attempts to contact the CEO to remedy the problem before opening up a potential can of worms. Some CEO's really value their corporations. Eh hem.

Thanks for the advice. I'm somewhat embarrassed to say that it wasn't the CEOs fault. I just figured out that I didn't have the workers he needed. Nationalizing would have been a very last resort anyways. I respect and appreciate the CEOs in my countries. I had a terrible time running corporations. I'd much prefer to leave them in their capable hands. From what I've heard on the board, my country does better that way.

That said, the CEO never did reply to the message I sent to him. What happens to corporations when a CEO loses their account?
