transam79 | Wednesday, June 25, 2008 - 05:27 pm i wont to know how to buy nukes? this new kid moved in next to me and he already has 9T and 57 ofensive index if he atacts i want him to know how i say hello. |
DavePat (Fearless Blue) | Wednesday, June 25, 2008 - 09:48 pm Yes nuking the guy next to you is a brillant idea. |
WildEyes (Little Upsilon) | Thursday, June 26, 2008 - 01:52 am Nah. Sam and I nuked an entire region once. And I mean an entire region. Every player controlled country, several time. It was a sacrifice to Tom to bring our HLWs back. I know I used a few hundred nukes in it. Edit: bah. I thought this was recent. Damn noobs necro-ing old threads! |
sfo Treasurer (White Giant) | Thursday, June 26, 2008 - 08:22 pm Transam....You are so worried about a player moving in next to you. Did you see me blow a gasket when you moved in next to me? No you didn't. Leave him alone and odds are he will probably do the same. If he decides to mess with you, let me know and maybe I can keep our region clear of wrongdoers. But your philosophy of needing nukes just because a new guy moved in next to you is a bit preemptive and could be construed as aggressive. I'm not one for having other nuclear powers on my borders that are not associated with my federation. T |
Quetzalcoatl God of War (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, July 5, 2008 - 03:54 am The Sacrifice! Mmmm good times. |
josias jorvick (White Giant) | Monday, July 7, 2008 - 07:39 am no one to worry about in your area, trans, BigT and i aren't the type to pick on any one, just because we had a bad day and it looks like every one around you is in secured mode, nothing to worry about with them, hope you like the sunsets in Great Palms, i sure do |
KarneeKarnay (Golden Rainbow) | Monday, July 7, 2008 - 03:00 pm What i want to know is what the hell the president of that country did have this happen to it!?! |
sfo Treasurer (White Giant) | Monday, July 7, 2008 - 10:18 pm He was guilty of being an asshat. The most lowly type of player on SC. Universally hated and despised. |
John L (Golden Rainbow) | Wednesday, July 9, 2008 - 03:32 pm How many nukes does it take to wipe out all the population of a country? Seem that 140 is a bit overkill. |
sfo Treasurer (Kebir Blue) | Wednesday, July 9, 2008 - 10:58 pm It was the long message that needed to be sent. That message couldn't be written on just one nuke. Actually, the amount of nukes was used for De-popping. I assume the 99% loophole (that is now closed) was used in this action. On another note, the closing of that loophole is going to make nukes a lot cheaper because there won't be so many of them flying anymore. This will put a premium on conventional warfare tactics, and possibly leave quite a bit more population to raid when the war is won. Also, with less nukes being used you should see less disaster damage to ceo corps. This is only in theory, by the way. Time will tell if this theory will come to fruition. T |
Keith Allaire (Little Upsilon) | Monday, July 14, 2008 - 02:55 am I think we should be able to nook forts now. They are defensible...hell since all of my garrison blueprints have NDBs, my fortifications can actually repel some nooks themselves |
John L (Golden Rainbow) | Monday, July 14, 2008 - 05:45 am @Keith Allaire, If you are stationing NDB at fortifications you are wasting money and manpower. If you don't like the garrison blueprint available you can make your own or modify the one you have now. |
Keith Allaire (Little Upsilon) | Monday, July 14, 2008 - 09:34 pm Meh. I can't be bothered. If NDB used MLWs, I'd be more interested in saving the manpower...but they don't. I'd rather have the simplicity of having four garrison templates, all with NDBs, and knowing that no matter which blueprint I deploy to where, the target will be defended against teh nook. I have made larger garrison blueprints than the couple the game gives by default, as I have noticed in C3 conquering that the default garrisons are too small to do a damn thing, but I cannot be bothered making another blueprint specifically for forts. Feel free to build some NDB/NDB missile corps and make some money off of me I still think forts should be nookable, as a means of depopulation. As I said, they ARE defensible. As my garrisons there prove, wasteful or not. |
