sbroccoli | Monday, September 17, 2012 - 02:55 pm I'm new to this and wanted to try out the first attack, but noticed that one of my air wings didn't get aircraft fuel for months. I have a small and a medium supply unit which I suppose every newbie gets. The small one is currently moving with a bit of aircraft fuel. The medium is idle allthough one of my airwings has minus 9.600 in aircraft fuel. My stock of air craft fuel is 1.5 million, so there's no general shortage. I increased the fuel need of the needy unit, but it didn't change anything. Medium supply unit isn't budging. I tried increasing the fuel compartment of the supply unit - and have trucks enough. No change. 1) what could be wrong here? 2) how do I relocate my airwings? They seem to be scattered around the country and not located on i.a. the offensive airbase. |
sbroccoli | Monday, September 17, 2012 - 03:53 pm Seems like the manipulation of the fuel levels on either the supply unit or the air wing worked. The medium supply unit eventually moved to deliver the fuel. But I still don't understand what the block was the first time around and why nothing happened for ~6 months. Suggestions and explanations still welcome. |
Crafty | Monday, September 17, 2012 - 11:35 pm If you're having these problems you will need more supply units than two. They can be quite slow so more is the answer. One supply unit to 2 or 3 war units I would say, roughly, including garrisons. If you are not upgrading the fighting level of your airwings then it is quickest to just dismantle the wing and build a new one straight away. It will then have a full supply of everything. But thats mainly for when at war and you need fresh units quick. Build another 5 small supply units with jeeps only and see how you go from there. You can always dismantle them later if not needed. |
sbroccoli | Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - 10:50 am I see. I'll try that. Will jeep-only supply units be able to deliver fuel? They need trucks, yes? I just never figured that a shortage of supply units would be the problem because the medium supply unit stood idle all the time. I still don't understand why it did that when there was a screaming shortage of something. |
Crafty | Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - 12:08 pm Yeah, jeep supply units will do exactly the same as any other, only they of course will be virtually defenseless. But for the current war game that is not really an issue. They are just far cheaper, the price of jeeps and they use no ammo, minimum staff usage. Supply units will sit around a bit, getting loaded I guess. A few more supply units will fix your shortages in wings etc without a doubt. Its funny that a jeep needs 2 officers and 4 soldiers dont you think? whereas a light armoured vehicle needs only 2 more soldiers. |
Serpent | Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - 05:05 pm I agree... Jeep should only need one soldier. I that case maybe there would be more room for supplies instead of wastefully hauling 5 extra people around. HaHa |
Crafty | Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - 05:25 pm The one soldier is going to want a buddy to get high with and crank up loud rock with as they drive through those dark desert nights. So I would allow them 2. I suppose Jeeps are more like Hummers nowadays, not the old Wileys of yesteryear. /me doffs cap to the Army logistics teams. |
sbroccoli | Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - 08:29 pm Jeep riding is more fun than truck riding. Try it if you don't believe me. So naturally jeeps attract more of a crowd ;) |
