diast motill | Monday, September 10, 2012 - 10:57 pm ok so how do i do this . my original strategy isnt working at all im just loosing all my units . ive always brought in my land units put them near the units defending and used an atack wing to take them out . ive lost 600 fighter planes trying to figure out why this isnt working i thought maybe the land forces were not ste up right. or maybe they were not close enough but no theres no reson an intercepter should be killing all my birds can anyone help with this |
Serpent | Tuesday, September 11, 2012 - 07:07 am We need more information. What war level? Are you attacking the target first or the def first? Have you drained the air def or are you attacking cities, towns etc... before eliminating the interceptor wings? |
Crafty | Wednesday, September 12, 2012 - 01:05 am And what does your attack wing consist of? at what quality? |
diast motill | Wednesday, September 12, 2012 - 03:18 am 240 fighter planes . at war level 3 . and im losing the whole lott in a single attack against the air defense ive done this three times and lost a total of 720 fighter planes which are not cheap as you probably know . |
diast motill | Wednesday, September 12, 2012 - 03:20 am attacking the interceptor wing is what im talking about |
Serpent | Wednesday, September 12, 2012 - 03:51 am If you 1) Choose a un-garrisoned target such as a COUNTY and attack the defense with an attack/bomb wing the interceptors will respond. 2) After a few times of attacking the def you will destroy all the interceptors. Afterward use a navy consisting of nfp and one frigate/cruiser and attack def and then the heli wings will respond and be destroyed. or 3) Use the select target from a list and find the heli wings and attack them from there. 4) Also as Crafty said make sure your wings are of high quality. |
Crafty | Thursday, September 13, 2012 - 02:38 am The thing to note here is the combination of fighter planes with bombers, or you could use attack drones. The responding interceptors will go for the decoys first giving your fighters a chance to shoot them down. Ok, you'll lose some PB or drones but nowhere near the amount of fighters. Use about a half and half combo, dont put loads of ammo in the bombers, experiment for your best wing set up. Good luck. |
Keto | Thursday, September 13, 2012 - 01:03 pm What quality are your air wings and land forces? |
diast motill | Friday, September 14, 2012 - 06:15 am ahh .... 163 Q fighter planes . and diferent ranges for the land 130-180 . i just dont understand why the same strategy ive been using for the past 6 months havent worked but also i havent conducted a war against a c3 since the updates started . i start off by moving all my land forces adjacent to the interceptors im trying to take out then i use a air force attack wing wich used to consist of 300 fighter planes but have been reduced to 240 and attack until taget is destroyed which i would loose maybe 10-20 fighter planes but thats acceptable loss but when i went to attack the entire 240 was wiped out in one attack 3 times i was a little puzzeled the first time so i dismantled all units bought more amunition of all types . spent 1T in the processes built all the units again tried it again was wiped out . so as i didnt have enough active fighter planes to make another unit i bought 200 set the unit up again happened all over again . |
Keto | Friday, September 14, 2012 - 01:28 pm try using bombers or attack drones with your fighter planes when attacking interceptors. Attack drones being cheaper than bombers. The AD/bombers will be destroyed before FP's. When interceptors are gone use only fighter planes against helis. You'll have no losses against helis using FP or NFP. Also, increase your quality of ammo/weapons. A war lvl3 C3 is prolly Q150-Q170. The higher your Q the less losses you incur. |
Crafty | Saturday, September 15, 2012 - 12:32 am You really are best attacking the defenses of an un-garrisoned place like a town or county with your FB/PB or FP/AD wing, then an interceptor wing will respond and you kill it. I believe if you attack the int wing directly you are up against the wing you attack plus another that comes to it's defence. That's how it used to work anyhow. Although AD are cheaper you will lose more of them than PB and you might want to do the math there. I'm not so sure AD work out cheaper. Again, you dont need loads of bombs if using PB because you would only lose all the bombs of any bomber that gets killed. Hey, that almost sounds like I know what I'm talking about, huh? |
