Crafty | Thursday, May 3, 2012 - 03:14 pm Yes garrisons are defenses, except I guess you could call defensive missile batteries semi-offensive as they fire back at the batteries attacking you. But all garrison weapons only react to an attack, so yes, just countering an attack. Helis and ints dont go in garrisons, you need to make wings of them. They will automaically attack any attacking force, but not everything. Like ints basically intercept aircraft whilst helis attack ground forces and missile batteries firing missiles at you. Nuclear missile batteries and their missiles are a seperate case. They also go in garrisons, each 'nukeable' target should have 2 (because nuclear bombers can survive one). The only thing that can destroy them now I believe is the stealth bombers (used to be nothing could). Use NDM in the capital, cities and bases. Set the default ammo for them at greater than the suggested 2, say at least a dozen. A nuclear bomb getting through is not really the end of the world but they can seriously cut down your population and cause you all sorts of headaches. |
