Theokles (Kebir Blue) | Saturday, February 19, 2011 - 05:27 pm What is the best way to attack defense interceptors. They seem to have a supernatural ability!!! |
The Walking Glitch (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, February 19, 2011 - 05:31 pm I don't remember, but remember the general rule: "Mid-range Missiles are the answer to everything." Regards, TWG |
Psycho_Honey (Little Upsilon) | Saturday, February 19, 2011 - 10:33 pm No No and hell no. How long ago did you play TWG? You need a combo of fighter-drones, or fighter-bombers. 1000 fighters at 180 quality fill up the rest with 710 drones or bombers low q or not. find an undefended or lightly defended target and fire 'attack defenses, until no interceptors respond. If the country is on your border you need to move an offensive land unit into attacking range to provide ground support. If the country is not on your border, you don't need ground support. |
NiAi (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, February 20, 2011 - 12:28 am "Mid-range Missiles are the answer to everything." That rule still got some truth, but as Wendy said, her method is more cost effective than MRMB/OAAB combo. I always keep such combo for some uses (like clearing defences later on), but for clearing Interceptors id use Wendys method. |
Theokles (Kebir Blue) | Sunday, February 20, 2011 - 06:05 am Will take that into advisement on my next occupation. |
The Walking Glitch (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, February 20, 2011 - 06:12 am Wendy is right, compared to me, she has more experience than me. @btw: 3 months ago I quit playing the hour a week I had been for 2 months. Though I know mid-range missiles are a very versatile weapon, its not always the most cost effective. And that post didn't come out the way I wanted it too... |
Ca123 (Kebir Blue) | Tuesday, March 22, 2011 - 07:40 pm After clear Defensive Interceptor wings, I lost over 749 Heavy Arttlies and heavy Tanks in the first attack for garissions ( C3 lost 18 Artellies, 18 tanks, 18 armored vehicles). I am pissed off. Help me, please |
Crafty (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, March 22, 2011 - 08:02 pm There are also defensive helicopter wings. These are very good at destroying any unit that attacks with a missile/bullet you attack with. Clear these with fighter and PB/drone combinations as they sit on the tarmac. Helis dont respond to fighter plane attacks but be safe with the PB shield incase it resupplies ints mid-attack. Garrisons will generally murder your land units. They are cheap though but such a click fest. I like to bomb the garrisons (targets defenses) and then cruise missile the actual target (target). If you are using a navy then... wait a minute, I'm not telling you everything it took me months to learn :P But...there's more than one way to skin a cat... |
Serpent (Fearless Blue) | Friday, March 25, 2011 - 12:29 am Just establish a 'No Fly Zone' and hope the rebels do the job for you! |
Crafty | Friday, March 25, 2011 - 09:59 pm LMAO @ Serpent |
James the fair (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, June 28, 2011 - 04:23 pm So if I move a 1000 offensive anti air missile batteries near to the attacking target and then attack with 1000 fighter planes, will that ground unit I moved nearby support my fighters in destroying the target more effectively? |
Scarlet (Golden Rainbow) | Tuesday, June 28, 2011 - 04:28 pm No. The game needs the Land Force unit nearby in order to have the Air Wing operate at 100% effectiveness. The actual weapons in the Land Force unit do not assist in the attack. (This only applies when the Air Wing belongs to a country that is bordering the country you're attacking. Air Wings always operate at 100% effectiveness against countries that are not on the border of the home country.) |
