Tuesday, February 1, 2011 - 05:23 pm I have 100 air transport planes but cant activate but 30! How do I get my ground forces to start painting the land

Tuesday, February 1, 2011 - 07:27 pm For starters:
This is why your Air Transport Planes are not active. If you only need to paint the land and only have 1 Air Transport Unit, just airdrop an SFU (1 special forces unit + 400 Hand Held Missiles). Heck, you could probably immediate order the supplies right now. War >> Military Units >> Show Landing Forces Use the "Airdrop" option under the "Current position" column for that unit. You will need at least 1 Air Transport Unit active. The alternative is to airdrop an ACU, wait twelve hours, and airlift your land forces.

Tuesday, February 1, 2011 - 07:29 pm In order to drop an Airport Construction Unit (ACU), you will need 1 Airport Construction Unit (these need 1 Rapid Deployment Unit with 6000 ammo to create) and 1 Air Transport Unit (these need a minimum of 25 Military Transport Planes, I always use the minimum) to conduct the Airdropping. If you have both of these: go to War >> Military Units >> Show Landing Forces. On this page, look under the column 'Current Position'. The option to Air Drop will be under that. Click it and will bring up a page with a list of countries (enemies, federation allies, and empire countries). If it is not already selected, pick the country you are at war with. Then click anywhere to start the process of Airdropping. You can only Air Drop within 3000 km of your country (which is actually pretty far). If the ACU survives 12 hours (against C3s, it will), it will create an airport and a remote depot. Then airlift whatever unit (the option is in the same place as the airdrop option, but this time on the page: War >> Military Units >> Show Land Forces [not Landing]). If you only have one active ACU this will take a while to complete.

Tuesday, February 1, 2011 - 07:34 pm Government Salaries need to be more than 75% of the average of state corporation salaries. If all your state corporations are at 300 salaries, you'll need at least 226 govt salaries. If 200, 151 govt. If 100, 76 govt. If 400, 301 govt. If 500, 376 govt. And so on and so forth.

Tuesday, February 1, 2011 - 08:16 pm Ha ha!! Greatly appreciated!! I thought the problem was my population. My corp salaries are 400 and my govt was 300. I bumped it up to 400. Thanks again Scarlet.

Tuesday, February 1, 2011 - 11:56 pm Im having a problem with air lifting my land forces. I apparently dont have enough military supplies but everything seems fine when I check my supplies

Wednesday, February 2, 2011 - 03:32 am First, you only need to set it to 301 to avoid the problem of deactivating military forces. From a cost standpoint, this is obviously preferable to 400 as it is 99 points less than 400. Second, dismantling and remaking the unit solves that problem.
