DexterK (Kebir Blue) | Friday, March 13, 2009 - 05:39 am Hi, I have this message in my news paper: Your country should improve its defense by setting up more military units. You are advised to maintain at least 2 Defense Interceptor Wings, a Defense Helicopter Wing, a Land Defense Division, a Long Range Division, a Small Supply Unit, a Large Supply Unit and one Airforce Attack Unit. Is this reasonable? Is this a garrison? I don't think so but I'm not sure the difference. I realise an adequate defense force is only relative to the attacking force, but is it enough to keep away the scavengers, and to pay due respect to the game and the war part of it? Dex. |
Keith Allaire (Little Upsilon) | Friday, March 13, 2009 - 06:56 am It's not anywhere near enough to keep away scavengers. |

DexterK (Kebir Blue) | Friday, March 13, 2009 - 10:55 pm Thanks. So don't take too much notice of in game advise. I'll take that on board, and expect to see any number of you on my doorstep if I don't. Dex. |
Beast (Kebir Blue) | Friday, March 13, 2009 - 11:18 pm Dex, the best advise is to join a good fed. They will teach you what you need to know. Beast |
Pathetic Sheep (White Giant) | Sunday, March 15, 2009 - 07:23 am There are effects on the game. For example in order to change your empire leader you need a few units. The message needs to be there so that players know you have to put troops somewhere for them to defend there. If you have thousands of interceptors they will only defend your military airport. You have to set up an interceptor wing in order to expect that they can attack the enemy bombers. Heavily fortified defensive airbases could prevent an enemy from taking your country. But a peon country with a tiny military can bomb all of your factories for example. |
