Loyalty, honour and friendship. The Protectorate - Directives: 1. No member of The Protectorate shall attack an ally. 2. No member of The Protectorate shall attack another nation without prior approval from the Government. 3. All members of The Protectorate shall remain as active as they can. The Protectorate is still running and currently expanding selectively under the wise Chair of Parsifal, a very senior player in the game. No, attacking C3s is not a problem to the federation unless of course you are surrounding and potentially threatening a non fed member in which case your motives would come under srutiny. If you would like more info on the fed, we have a training branch for new members or the main branch which Parsifal controls, then contact Parsifal at 'Knights of the round table'. How would you feel if the empire you had invested so much in to build was taken from you by a strong Federation which had been riled by a reckless warmonger who had displayed no respect for the rules to which they had previously agreed to honour? In a similar vein to Scarlet's comment, if you don't like what a Federation represents, then don't join it and don't criticise it as any and every Federation is free to choose its own rules and its own philosophy, just as you are free to apply for membership to any Federation you see fit to join or to create your own.

Membership is voluntary and one of the benefits of membership is to receive military support, 100% military support in this case, in times of war from well established players such as Parsifal and Crafty as well as the other members who are at an appropriate war level to participate in war against other players. Therefore, it is fair that complete freedom should be curtailed in some form or another. If you do not agree with this then please feel free to say why. Incidentally, I post from an impartial standpoint. I never actually joined The Protectorate as I wished to stay free from Federations as an econ player and therefore in no position to aid fellow members in war, plus I have since left KB.

| Thursday, July 7, 2011 - 06:08 pm I was thinking more along the lines of big berthas. They were used extensively by Germany in WWI to shell French cities from 70 miles away. It wouldn't fire missiles, it would fire man-sized artillery shells out of a huge cannon, and it would only be able to aim at big targets like cities. There would be a difference between what I am describing and conventional missile batteries. Also, you couldn't attack defenses with it, you could only attack the targets themselves. And consider the range. A huge gun wouldn't have the range that a missile would have because there is a limit to how much powder you could pack into the shells. What is considered "long range" for artillery is considered "short range" for missiles. You could fire on a country that was maybe 3 countries away from you.

I need cash to make the next game level and I am far in debt at the moment from building state corps. I have posted for CEO's to come in and buy and build but they are slow to come. I have also requested aid from the KB SC and await a response. Maybe me joining this Fed can help expedite the process of me receiving aid.
