tarmore288 | Wednesday, August 31, 2022 - 02:35 am I just can't find it. Where is the setting to stop the computer from ordering shares automatically? It was good for a long time then it started auto-ordering shares for a handful of companies. I don't know how to make it stop. |
Myers | Wednesday, August 31, 2022 - 04:11 am shares > Portfolio targets ? |
Aries | Wednesday, August 31, 2022 - 04:48 am Myers is right. I do a lot of IPO's. Often selling all my shares from one enterprise to a combination of my IFs and possibly my other enterprise. If I sell all my shares in one game month, there is no issue. If I plan to sell some, and not all shares, I have to go back to portfolio targets and set it to equal the % I left for the selling enterprise to avoid it auto-buying/selling on its own. |
tarmore288 | Wednesday, August 31, 2022 - 05:18 pm I never set targets for corporations. The portfolio targets will not allow me to set finer than the closest (I think) 0.50. Which works out ok when you have lost of cash handy. I have spent most of of my cash reserves recently. I was hoping there was a way to tell the computer to just not order ANY stocks on it's own. |
Aries | Wednesday, August 31, 2022 - 06:52 pm That's just it. I don't intend to use stock targets either. When you IPO though, it automatically sets a target at 85%. If you sell additional shares, it will try to buy them back. |
tarmore288 | Thursday, September 1, 2022 - 03:21 am That's a crappy system and should be changed |
Aries | Thursday, September 1, 2022 - 04:58 am Probably, I am just used to it now. Again, if I sell all shares that first game month I IPO, it isn't an issue. It removes the stock from that list altogether. However, if I plan to have that particular enterprise hold a new level of shares, I know to return to the portfolio target page, and set a new target, after selling the desired amount. Usually, something like 24.5% if it's controlling the new public corp, or 23.5% if it isn't. |
tarmore288 | Thursday, September 1, 2022 - 02:52 pm Aries, if I set a target for the one corporation will it not round off all the other corporations as well? If so I have a lot of work and adjustments to be made |
