Matt | Wednesday, June 8, 2016 - 12:52 am I simply can't seem to wrap my head around running an enterprise. No matter what I do, I keep losing money and have to take out loans. I decided to diversify my corps a bit but have as of late, been focusing on both High Tech Services, Services, and Software. I'm at my wits end now as I just can't seem to make any money. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Corp is: Stoopid Monkey Enterprise |
Zentrino | Wednesday, June 8, 2016 - 01:10 am About once a week, I go to My Corps page and select cash & debt tab. Scroll to the very bottom. In the box that say lower cash level for corps, put 50,000 and click reduce level. Then go down again and do the same thing for raise cash level and pick 50,000. You should get much more than you put in. This is where I make money in my enterprise. |
Lord Bradnel | Wednesday, June 8, 2016 - 07:58 am What world are you on? Most new corps i have in my 2 enterprises don't tend to make a profit until after they are fully upgraded. could this be the issue for you? Lord Bradnel |
Matt | Wednesday, June 8, 2016 - 01:56 pm Nuts, thought I had mentioned I'm on White Giant. Is there a spreadsheet that can tell me at a glance which corps are making a profit and which are not? Or do I have to go through the painful process of going through each and ever single one? |
Aries | Wednesday, June 8, 2016 - 06:13 pm Click on the tab "Cash & Debt" at the top of your corporation list. |
Aaron | Thursday, June 9, 2016 - 02:15 am one thing I've always done, because basically I'm lazy, is to look at other peoples enterprises that are successful and build the same type of corporations using the same trade strategies and upgrades. It's definitely been the easiest way to start making profits quickly and easily. |
Matt | Thursday, June 9, 2016 - 06:03 am @Aries - thanks for that list. i figured there might be one just didn't know where to look. @Aaron - I've looked at some other enterprises to get an idea but it's not worked out that well. One thing I've been doing is looking at supply/demand and started to focus on those products that always seem to be in demand. |
Aries | Thursday, June 9, 2016 - 09:37 pm I will be honest though. Monthly profits is not where the strength of enterprises exist. Top-end performance will eventually lead to crushing amounts of enterprise tax. The best attributes of an enterprise are these. 1. You need them for game level, and the coins that come from them. 2. They store weapons at no cost. 3. They refresh a full $500 Billion in spending limit each month. Sale on this product or that? Buy low now, sell high later, when the market recovers. Every CEO who boasts how much cash they have does this. 4. They offer the utility in assisting your countries economy in a few important ways. -They allow you to train your max housewife numbers while still maintaining control of the enterprise corps you host there. -If you go with public, and especially truly public corps, they offer the utility of an extra share buyer/holder in these corps. -Not sure which boosters to buy to extend your enterprises? No problem. Simply stock up on super boosts, and put your enterprise in charge of building and instantly upgrading a few corps for your country. Already at the 20 corps limit? No problem, have your country nationalize one. It happens instantly (within 10 minutes or so in the same game month) and then you can build or simply relocate an already upgraded corp there. 5. Beyond simply storing weapons, enterprises offer extra utility during war-time, if you happen to have an account that spans multiple worlds. Having a local enterprise on a given world means that you can store a reserve of weapons near the action (again at no maintenance cost), ready for a short shuttle ride when you need them. The above attributes are why I keep my enterprises around. In monthly income, my countries make my enterprises look absolutely silly. |
Matt | Wednesday, June 15, 2016 - 08:11 pm Well try as I might, I still can't seem to get my damn enterprise making any kind of profit. It seems every coin I earn disappears straight into buying game money to pull my enterprise outta debt. This is really frustrating. |
Aries | Wednesday, June 15, 2016 - 08:16 pm Oh, don't ever buy game cash from Andy/The GM. Terrible-terrible deal. You get what? 29 Billion per coin? Shop direct trade and buy electric power. If you buy it and sell it on your market, you will get much more cash for your coin. |
