Nicholas The Great | Friday, January 1, 2016 - 04:11 am So when I took over my country the salary index target was 300. However, when playing as CEO, the salary target is 100 for new corps. If I lower my country's target salary to 100, will it totally tank my welfare index? Assuming all other metrics stay the same... Also, would people start to emigrate en mass because of it? |
The Ho | Friday, January 1, 2016 - 04:58 pm Nicolas: Salary index is important in your country if you are looking to add population/immigration. The higher you pay your workers, the more likely they are to be attracted to your country, and corporations within it. It can help lower unemployment, if you have the jobs available. Add in other factors like 80% for social security and it could really help your indexes. Yes, there are other factors that contribute, and they are also important. Keep in mind, if your salary index is too high, you might not see the full benefit of the increased wages. In talking with others, the range varies and different people set their % at different levels for different reasons. A lower target could boost income, if you have extra population that you don't wish to utilize. Each country is run different and you'll need to find the level that works best for your country and your goals. I can't give you a specific number, but the 300 target range seems common. Some people like it a tad higher, and some like it lower. Happy New Year |

Your target depends upon many things. Your country's set up, your plans, and goals figure largely into what your target should be. I don't think there is a "perfect" target number out there. People may prefer higher or lower targets, than the 300 you mentioned, for various reasons Remember, your country has corporation & government salary where an enterprise only has the corporation salary target. Due to this, your setting can be very different from your country to your enterprise. |
