Monday, July 21, 2014 - 07:51 pm Corporations bought, closed or moved and Enterprise Tax -2.81B SC$ How is the Enterprise tax calculated ? Is it a % of the enterprise profit and how much?

Monday, July 21, 2014 - 08:43 pm No, it's not. It's a % of your assets. That's right, you might be making damages, but the GM still cuts up around 0.1% of the total value of your enterprise each month.

Monday, July 21, 2014 - 09:42 pm For more information. Look here: https://www.simcountry.com/discus/messages/8/21485.html?1381486907 An oldie but goodie and still a good suggestion.

Tuesday, July 22, 2014 - 06:56 am So it might come to point where my assets is so big that the 0.1% cut is greater than my profit. Like what the discussion says it is a punishment for growing too big.

Tuesday, July 22, 2014 - 10:07 am It is not a percent of assets. Look closer. Compare the finances of different size enterprises.

Tuesday, July 22, 2014 - 10:56 am If it's not a percentage of assets then WHAT IS THAT???*** 18. Enterprise expenses [ top ] Enterprises are large organizations that are operating corporations they own. The enterprise receives profit payments from the corporations but the Enterprise itself is a large organization and need funds to operate. Many Enterprises are successful in the game and make a large monthly profit. Some of the profit is used as "cost of running the enterprise". The cost depends of the financial strength of the enterprise and may range at the level of 0.05% to 0.1% of the total assets of the enterprise per (game) month. The cost is showing on the financial page of the enterprise, together with the cost of purchasing of new corporations. (from the documentation) I sincerely hope I don't pay an extra 0.1% for "expenses", which I don't see in my financial pages, on top of the enterprise tax which I see and is roughly the same. My CEO in FB reached a point recently that I was paying 250-270B a MONTH in "corporations purchased, moved and enterprise tax", without me buying or moving anything. So it was the tax aka "expenses". So I did an experiment. My assets had reached about 1.2Q, and about half of it was cash, which I was loaning out. So, without changing anything in the corporations (they remained the same in number ~ 760 and their total profits remained around 450-500B per month), I simply moved away around 140-150T in cash. Now I'm only paying around 170B per month for "corporations purchased, moved and enterprise tax" withouth having changed anything. So it must be a % of the assets.

Tuesday, July 22, 2014 - 11:09 am If it is a percent of assets, this will be easy to prove by comparing different enterprises. Finances for enterprises are not hidden. I fail to see how your proof comes solely from reflection rather than comparison.

Tuesday, July 22, 2014 - 01:07 pm It's not proof in a scientific sense, since there's no need for that. I don't take this game that seriously. It's just an educated guess based on observation rather than reflection: 1. Nothing else changed except the value of assets 2. The "tax" dropped significantly 1+2= The value of assets affects the "tax". That's how I see it. Perhaps Andy can enlighten us on this holy grail of the CEO game. Or perhaps I'm too optimistic.

Tuesday, July 22, 2014 - 03:03 pm Actually, after further observation, I may be wrong and it may be still connected to the profits after all. I will watch it for some months and see what happens. I still can't understand what the GM means in the documentation by the term "enterprise expenses" which "may range at the level of 0.05% to 0.1% of the total assets of the enterprise per (game) month". If it's not the "enterprise tax", what is it?

Tuesday, July 22, 2014 - 06:17 pm If u moved the cash which is part of the asset to your country and the tax amount dropped, then obviously it`s tied to the asset. That`s one way to escape ent tax, since country do not have this tax. And established enterprise don`t need that much cash to operate anyway, just moved it to the country.

Tuesday, July 22, 2014 - 06:52 pm 1. I said it is not a percent of assets. 2. I am Aries. That should be enough. However, 3. I linked a relevant thread with analysis and enterpise comparisons. 4. I pointed out the flaw in the analysis in this thread that looks at the data from one enterprise. Not sure what else I can do. I hope readers of this thread do some of their own analysis before drawing a conclusion.

Tuesday, July 22, 2014 - 07:16 pm I never read the link Aries because you're Aries and it's enough for me. Should I say Aries again, or are two times enough?

Tuesday, July 22, 2014 - 08:40 pm Two times? What do you think of a person who only does the bare minimum? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cg-6wbETtbo Wish I could find a better video..

Wednesday, July 23, 2014 - 09:48 am Lol this is my life philosophy...the bare minimum charged for the maximum possible.
