Richard | Thursday, July 11, 2013 - 09:26 pm Under "automation" I do not have it set to buy anything for the army...Although I do have it set to purchase supplies that my country "needs". And set @ a 10 month supply, while ok, it can get a little heavy handed...not a problem. Here is my problem: It is not set to purchase "army" supplies, but it does...constantly. Now it is possible that a defensive military supply could possibly be construed as a "need", hypothetically...but there is no way that any OFFENSIVE military supply or weapon could be considered a "need". Offensive moves are all subjective, there is no way your programs could determine my "needs". So why do I constantly have to go in and delete stuff away before it gets bought? I am sure this is probably why there are so many weapon shortages. |
asurfaholic | Friday, July 12, 2013 - 01:42 am I have the same problem, and has contributed to heavy weapons purchases. I have finally turned off all automated purchases, but the damage is done. |
Ragnar | Wednesday, July 17, 2013 - 07:15 am +1 -- A while back had to sell off all the offensive arms I purchased when the ammo autopurchase suddenly threw me an extra trillion in debt. All I wanted was the aircraft...I didn't need ammo for them until I actually wanted to war. Impossible to stockpile this way. |
Crafty | Thursday, July 18, 2013 - 12:33 am Most weapons use 'training' ammunition whether activated or in their bases deactivated. Your country will always attempt to buy this stuff. If you delete the orders it will just buy more next time. The only way out is to keep weapons in a CEO where there is no maintenance fee and build your ammo up in your country. It's that or sell all weapons. Deactivated weapons do use less training ammo than active ones. Ammo has no maintenance charge. |
