saadmanshahid | Sunday, November 11, 2012 - 04:30 pm Hello newbie here, Recently the government corporations in my country gave a massive drop. I dont know how many months exactly, but one of their assets dropped by 400B in one day. Also, the corporations are losing workers steadily... Uptil now, things had been much different. The corporations were always working at full capacity. I did not create any new corporations, and I have demilitarized my country so that maximum people join the corps. Can someone please shed some light on this? My country's Bengal on Little Upsilon. Thanks |
Crafty | Sunday, November 11, 2012 - 05:07 pm They are losing money because they are not hiring at 100% which means they arent producing at 100%. Simple as that. Your education index needs to go up. Of course - as you can afford it and have the staff for the schools/unis. Note, you should keep the indexes for the schools, high schools and universities the same. Do this now, as your index is falling due to you dropping a few universities. A slight change to you education priorities: high tech execs needs to go up, by about 5 points I reckon. Nick a point from hi tech seniors, one from uni teachers and where ever you feel happy to. Currently you have no hi tech execs at all. This is why your corps arent hiring 100%. After a couple of days you can move the priorities around to suit your situation. Its a must to get your hiring to 100% first. The way the system works, if a corps is, say, 10% short of one worker type, then it will lay off 10% of ALL worker types, so you must have reserves of all types. Apart from those tiny little adjustments your country looks like it's starting really nicely. You're even making profit after your beginners bonus is taken out of the equation. Good luck, Crafty. |
saadmanshahid | Sunday, November 11, 2012 - 07:50 pm Thanks for the audit. (^_^) This is very helpful. I'm trying to stabilize the education indexes. And will edit the priorities. Also, does having a very low defense index have any impact on the population? And my migration index is 42, but the migrant population is zero... Is something wrong here? |
Crafty | Monday, November 12, 2012 - 02:57 pm No no no. Defense wont effect your population, only the amount of your people that are hired by the armed forces, they could be working in corps. Migration index basically follows your welfare index. It's supposed to take into account the welfare of neighbouring countries I believe, (if its more attractive in your country, peeps will move in). I doubt you'll see any positive immigration until the index shows about 60. |
