Teddy Bear | Thursday, October 18, 2012 - 11:11 pm I had a look at my finance page, which shows a Maintenance Cost.. Total Maintenance Cost -30.94B SC$ Maintenance Cost This Month Total Profit -11.30B SC$ I was wondering why we have to pay a maintenance cost as an Enterprise when all of our corporations have to buy factory maintenance units? All of our corporations also have a cost for maintenance products used. Are we being charged multiple times for the same things? Is this why it is so hard to make any money with an Enterprise? Anyone who can explain this would be appreciated. |

Teddy Bear | Friday, October 19, 2012 - 07:28 pm ok, so your saying that is showing me the costs from within my corporations, and that there is no 'management' cost from having an enterprise? What does the documentation mean then when it says that enterprises become less profitable when they become larger than 400 corps then, which charge is it that increases please? |
Mizore | Friday, October 19, 2012 - 10:03 pm It is likely referring to "Enterprise Tax" and is lumped in this category: "Corporations bought, closed or moved and Enterprise Tax" on the Enterprise Cash Flow sheet. You can see it every month you don't buy, close, or move corporations. Mine seems to vary between $25-30B. |
Teddy Bear | Saturday, October 20, 2012 - 11:27 am Thank you very much for your advice. I just checked and my LU Enterprise, Teddy Bears Picnic, just made a small profit for the very first time, so I must be doing something right. my "Enterprise Tax" section is zero for now, but I shall keep an eye on it. |
Crafty | Saturday, October 20, 2012 - 03:19 pm I thought enterprise tax was done away with. Remember when it used to hit you hard if you had over X amount of dollars in the Ent. And this was before the direct trade thing. So you had to bypass the rules with a mate buying cash in one entity and you buying it back with another...jeez. Ted, dont rely overly much on the documentation for that kind of info, with so many changes recently the docs rapidly become inaccurate. |
