Teddy Bear | Thursday, September 27, 2012 - 02:41 pm Hi guys, I have been looking at the documentation, but cant find the answers I am looking for. I discovered that I can only build corporations that I am the correct level for in my country. If I start an enterprise, is that also restricted from building corporations? For example, could I start an enterprise and then build higher 'level' corps in my own country? Is there a document that explains exactly what you can do with an enterprise? Also, does starting your first enterprise cost 30gc as well? Thanks for any help |
Crafty | Thursday, September 27, 2012 - 08:42 pm An enterprise can build any corp. Doesn't matter about country level. It will cost a further 30GC/month. Be prepared to start quite a lot corps quite quickly. It takes a couple of hundred profitable ones to make enough to pay for itself. Your enterprise corps in your own country are very good for the country, they pay 'country resources used' fees which are often higher than the equivalent state corp would pay in profit transfer, and you can adjust them to maximise that benefit. You can also build state corps and then IPO them over to your enterprise, that way you can have mostly all your corps as your ent corps in your country. Or 51% enterprise, 49% country owned so you get the CRU, all the profit and they're under your control. Do look into other ents first though, because they are quite hard to make profitable at the moment. |

Teddy Bear | Friday, September 28, 2012 - 10:06 pm I have started my enterprise on LU, seems to make most sense as that one is the fastest world. My next question is how many corps can I build a month with it? It stopped me building when I reached 10. |
Keto | Friday, September 28, 2012 - 10:54 pm you can only build 1 per month unless you purchase boosters which will increase it to 3 per month, which lasts for 5 months. The cost is 1gc per booster The ten corps you see will be built 1 per month. |
Crafty | Friday, September 28, 2012 - 11:00 pm That'll be right, you can keep adding as each one gets built, keeping a queue of 10. Its also worth looking through the gamemasters enterprise for corps you can take over control of by buying a small amount of shares. If the corp has all its shares owned by investment funds (and many do) then it only takes 1 share for you to control it. Obviously you would want to work to a larger amount so you get the larger percent of profit. And you turn the corp around to make a healthy profit then sell again if you want or keep. Gamemaster corporations is the name of the GM enterprise. |
