ezekielprincetyrus | Wednesday, August 15, 2012 - 03:18 am I see from reading game documentation migration index is derived from welfare index, employment index, and salary levels. My country is small -- only 15 + million pop. so what are good index level for welfare , employment and salaries, so I can attract migrants? |
omer.sami | Wednesday, August 15, 2012 - 06:46 pm I have the same question. Also, what does the migration index need to be for people to start migrating? |
Drew | Thursday, August 16, 2012 - 02:00 am I think about 60 or so, but um just bring up the welfare index with schools social security and health then keep employment in the 90's and you should be good, its only about 1000 a month |
Devils Halo | Sunday, August 19, 2012 - 01:55 am Or you can be like me and lose about 5k a game month. All my key stats in the 100's. No big deal though in my opinion. But on another key note, if you raise your Social Security, Health, it will def. effect your budget.. |
Drew | Sunday, August 19, 2012 - 03:16 am That will get subsidized with higher salaries. If you instead increase your indexes in the area of 180, and pay your workers enough lets say 300, as most players seem to suggest it. The more money that is given to your citizens the more they pay into those expenses. Even if you don't want to increase salaries to that level building corps with a higher high paid job to low paid ratio can give you the same effect. Of course that requires a higher education index... Also enterprises will probably be scarce to move to a country with such a low welfare index. |
maclean | Sunday, August 19, 2012 - 10:46 am You can try attracting immigrants, but in most of my countries, with high welfare, SS at 115%, high salaries, etc., I still LOSE 4k-6k every game month. Now I know they are not moving out of my countries, the welfare is better there than in the neighboring countries. So they are not even replacing themselves with a high enough birth rate. Possibly this is a side effect of sending all those housewives back to work. |
Crafty | Sunday, August 19, 2012 - 01:19 pm You'll note that if your HI is going much above 140, then the expected life goes above 65 and the really old increase along with the new born. So more deaths, and numbers work its way through the age groups, so it takes a while for the new kids to replace the aged. 60+ game years I suppose. I reckon thats why we see pop losses and sometimes growth. Its too tempting to just build more hosps to stop pop decline, I think that just prolongs the problem and makes it worse eventually. Swapping the old boys (execs etc) for fresh blood from C3s has got to be the way really. I would like to see some other comments on this if peeps have ideas. |
maclean | Monday, August 20, 2012 - 01:26 am What we need is a way to selectively kill off retirees and disabled, but that would probably not fly, even tho they are only sim-people. It should make no difference ethically, tho, as we are allowed to engage in wars that doubtless vaporize and maim sim-women and sim-children. maybe if our sim-citizens heard the thump of sim-jackboots, it would spur them to greater productivity... |
