Saturday, April 28, 2012 - 02:06 am Hello, Took a long break and playing again. Some things have changed. So: 1) What do you do if you have too many HLW, and not enough LLW and MLW? Do these "fix" themselves over time without any training or resetting options? I'd hate to transfer professionals into workers, if there is a way to adjust worker levels otherwise. 2) I notice corps close rather quickly now, when there is a worker shortage or other production problem. Is there any way to be sure that a new corp you want to nuture stays open, other than closing an older corp? Thanks for any answers, and points to other good postings for returnees.

Saturday, April 28, 2012 - 10:50 am 1) Leave it for a couple of months, it will balance providing your population growth is positive, unless you have a desperate need when you could do exchanges with others. HLW are almost always in demand, so people would be willing to swap some for LLW and MLW. 2) Only reason they should close really is a large debt which can build up quite quickly. Keep an eye on financial status and transfer $$$ in if needed.

Saturday, April 28, 2012 - 07:05 pm One strategy I use is to keep a 100,000 reserve of LLMs in the pool so that if I need to, I can fill the HLW and MLW deficits. the LLMs are a "cheap" way to do this.

Saturday, April 28, 2012 - 11:35 pm Thanks for both of these answers. Seems like I will have to manage a bit more intensively. Also, I seem to not be able to prevent my Buy Supplies strategy from reverting to 108% plus 5%? I've removed the automatics from most things, as mentioned on another post. The Education Priorities also seem to be getting rejiggered automatically, and I cant seem to stop that. Probably some auto function that I don't think is related, but is.

Sunday, April 29, 2012 - 10:41 am For 14 days, a ton of the settings automatically reset, to "protect" beginners from themselves. You just have to wait out the two weeks before you can assume full control.

Sunday, April 29, 2012 - 09:31 pm So. There are no C3's next to my country? Is there a way to "transport" my initial country, to someplace more conducive to growth?

Tuesday, May 1, 2012 - 09:50 am How do I stop corps from closing? I have nationalized, and accepted all in a contract to my country, and they still close from "Lack of Utilization" Employment was 100%. All products were sold. There was no debt in the corp, but I keep getting messages "debt is too high" and "Utilizations are too low" This is extremely annoying.

Tuesday, May 1, 2012 - 10:29 am The corporations were hemorrhaging money, those specific corps were not going to be profitable anytime soon no matter what setting you had. It would appear to me that all weapons corps are "imbalanced" to not be able to profit. Don't build them unless you absolutely need to.
