Friday, January 20, 2012 - 11:24 pm I have 3 questions about the game that I dont know since i have self taught this game to myself. Hopefully someone can help me and I thank you for that. 1. What are the point of Navies? Like I tried using them in battle and they suck. Are they only good against navies? And if so what are the point of having a navy and do you recommend having them? 2. How do you speed up a war. I have all 30 possible conquering points but only like 2 damage points and taking heavy damage. What are some strong corps I should build and match ups I should avoid/exploit? The cost of my war s high and I want to finish it. 3. Are there any quick ways to get your profit out of negative like in a couple of days? Im guessing not or else everyone would do it and the game wouldnt have as many people in debt and the game wouldnt be as fun. I still have money but recently my profit has dropped below 0. Any help is very appreciated. Thanks Uggla

Saturday, January 21, 2012 - 12:06 am 1. Navies are pointless except for the fact they can move around the sea to basically anywhere in the world. Also good if the world has a very bad shortage of a type of ammo/weapon. 2. Use Air Force Attack Wings/Air Force Attack and Bombing Wings (AFAW/AFABW) on the defenses of cities, capitals, factories, and bases. After a while it says nothing is happening, meaning the defences are destroyed. Then use a Long Range Division (LRD) ( with the following weapons: 1000 tanks, 800 artillery, 100 anti-tank bats -nothing else needed)to attack the actual town, city etc until it is 100% destroyed. To win a war at WL0-1, I had 3 LRDs, 3 AFAW and 1 AFABW. You can win it will 2 LRDs and 2 AFAWs if you want to save money. 3. Stop fighting a war- it will eat your cash if you don't know what to do. Entice CEOs to build, and build plentiful education. Long term benefit outweighs short term cost.

Saturday, January 21, 2012 - 07:29 pm You forgot to tell Uggla to paint. Paint the enemys territory by driving that long range division around the place and you will see the land go orange, which means you have occupied it. Lots of points to be had there (30 - 40? out of 100). And when you have blown up all the targets like cities and corps start on the forts, you shouldnt need to destroy too many of them. Navies will be good again when the update for them comes on line. Wait until then to learn them. There's not really short cuts, quick ways, of doing anything, its just a matter of learning how it works and optimising your strategies for efficiency. You'll pick up lots of tips by being active on the forums here and getting into the chat room (when/if anyone else goes there )

Sunday, January 22, 2012 - 12:53 am Need to take out the air defense before you attack anything.

Sunday, January 22, 2012 - 06:36 am Thanks I tried building bombing wings but it wont let me buy bombers so i just made myself a bomber factory and right now 'painting' the map and using fighters to wipe out there airforce. I hope navies become more useful later. Also i got to change my blueprint to your recommendation.

Sunday, January 22, 2012 - 04:21 pm Also when using the LRD should i do anything special or just shoot off the artillery?
| |
Sunday, January 22, 2012 - 08:10 pm I like to attack the defences of a target first and then the actual target. But normally I would use bombers to take out target defences which I guess you cant yet.

Sunday, January 22, 2012 - 09:43 pm Tanks seem to be not worth it. Is there any other way to attack other than clicking on the target and then the unit you use to attack? For example can i just move my unit to a close space of the enemies unit and fight there?

Sunday, January 22, 2012 - 10:06 pm Yeah, you need to be quite close. You will suffer some losses, attack with all tanks, arty and batteries at once, the batts should sort of act like a shield to protect the tanks. This is why its best to destroy a targets defences first with bombers but it can be done without, just use more batts to protect the tanks and arty, its a personal thing of what suits you best. Note that this is only for neighbour countries, distant ones are slightly different.

Thursday, January 26, 2012 - 05:01 pm No, it'll reset. Although it may reset to 80 and not 100. Best bet Uggla, make sure you have ALL the weapons and ammo you need before you begin the war. Between market shortages, country finances, and game-restricions on the value of materials and cash transfers per month, you can find your army sitting there mid-war wanting ammo or replacement weapons, unable to do anything. Since this is your first war, you dont need anything special. Two airforce attack wings, two airforce attack and bombing wings, two land long-range divisions, and 4-6 small supply units. Drive a LRD straight to the C3s airforce base, once it's there, hit each of the C3 airwings using your airforce attack wings. Then drive your LRDs around, attacking C3 corps, capital, forts, and major cities: 1st attacking the target's defenses using the LRD, then attacking the target itself using your airforce attack and bombing wings or continue attacking using the LRD. Dont stop, keep attacking until you win. Dont give the C3 any time to rebuild or restock. Youre just wasting a lot of money and soldiers if you do.
