Saturday, October 29, 2011 - 03:48 pm I think you'll automatically become a premium member. It might take an hour or so to update. Check under 'my account' where somewhere it will tell you your status, should say premium or full member.

Saturday, October 29, 2011 - 04:03 pm no that is not the case... i have gold coins in my account which i bought. i dint knew that there is a separate premium membership portal. i have gold coins in my hand now. which i wanna convert for premium membership. is that possible?

Saturday, October 29, 2011 - 06:31 pm Sorry I cant answer that because my account is old and I have to pay in cash to continue membership. I think it's probably the same now, you have to pay $12 for 3 months which will get you GCs paying your country registration. Maybe a newer player can clarify.

Sunday, October 30, 2011 - 12:51 am just buying GC only, will not necessarily give you the Premium Membership status and you can't buy Premium Membership with the GC that you have now To become a Premium Member, go to SC portal -> My Account -> Premium Membership - if you are NOT yet a Premium member you'll have the option to become one - if you are already a Premium Member, you'll have an option to extend your membership By becoming a Premium Member, with your payment you will also receive GC, based on how much you chose to pay. However anyone can buy GC, regardless if they are Premium members or not and I guess you just purchased some GC as a non-Premium member - and that's OK, you will still have your GC in your account and you can use them as you need I hope that helps

Sunday, October 30, 2011 - 02:11 am I would try sending an email to gamemaster@simcountry.com and explain that you bought the wrong thing. Maybe they will deduct the excess gold coins and extend your membership. As far as I know, for $12 you get either: 3 months premium + 30 gold coins(maybe?) or 90 gold coins and no premium. Buying gold coins at the rates W3C charges is a bad idea. Subscribe to the game and get the level awards instead.

Sunday, October 30, 2011 - 09:15 am i bought the 3 months premium membership again... but dint get 30GC extra. it costed me double. one gave me only coins and one for premium membership. thanks for the help though

Sunday, October 30, 2011 - 06:50 pm Yeah I think the 30GC this time is automatically spent to pay your countrys registration so you dont have to take them out of your account. Works out the same thing.

Saturday, June 2, 2012 - 12:10 pm i'm a bit confuse on this premium membership thing too. it explains as follow: "As a Premium Member you can start a Country or build an empire or play as a CEO in each Simcountry World. The first registration (country or enterprise) is free of charge. Each additional empire costs 30 GC per month." so does this means regardless of how many countries i have in my KB empire (world) i would pay 30 gold coins per real month? that's if i have 1 country or 1000 countries, i still pay 30 gold coins. and if i have a FB empire, it's the also 30 GC for the FB countries? also does it means that it's the first country that i register in each world is free or is it the first country in any simcountry world? what does 30 gold coins equivalent to in USD? what are the advantages/disadvantages for having many countries or a single country in this game? or what are the advantages/disadvantages for having one empire or several empires (an empire in each world)?

Saturday, June 2, 2012 - 01:46 pm 30GC month for membership should you be a full member. 30GC month for each empire regardless of number of countries on that world. 30GC month each enterprise, max 2 ents per world. GC to USD rates vary. Check offers on forum, direct trade or GM rates. More countries in one empire (one world) will increase govt. costs. At about 10 countries in one world this becomes prohibitive, you wont often see over 10 and being successful (though I'm sure someone will make me wrong). One country doesnt let you do much but (except on FB) at least it can never be attacked so no need for costly armies. Different empires on different worlds have NO influence on each other. The only thing I guess could be the chance to shuttle products between worlds where making money is possible (buy cheap in one world and sell in another where the product is expensive). And it is vaguely possible someone you upset on one world could take it out on you in another world but that that doesnt happen much that I've seen. CC

Saturday, June 2, 2012 - 01:52 pm PS. I think by the first empire being free it is meant that by becoming a full member for $12 for 3 months say, you get the equivalent of 90GC. Older accounts get the actual GC which they need to spend on an empires registration any way (30GC month) where as new accounts have the GC allocated for registration automatically, so its exactly the same really, just they call it a free country.

Saturday, June 2, 2012 - 11:44 pm thank you crafty does it also means that if you signed up for 3 months membership ($12) only, but if you can continue to pay 30 gold coins for your empire after that, because you are very good at earning them in the game, then you can continue to keep your premium membership? for example, if i signed up for 3 months premium membership and in that 3 months i'm able to earn 720 gold coins playing the game, then these 720 gold coins will last my premium membership for at least 24 months (720/30 = 24)? if this example is true, then what's the rationale to sign up for more than 3 months? unless, of course you would sign up for more months if you don't believe yourself to earn enough gold coins.

Saturday, June 2, 2012 - 11:53 pm sounds like: option A = country or empire in any world = 30 GC each month option B = enterprise in any world = 30 GC each month my newbie experience has been that when you sign up as a free member, it doesn't give you the choice of playing the enterprise or the country/empire options. it automatically give you a country (option A)? or did i forgot to select one of these two options in one of the steps ?

Sunday, June 3, 2012 - 01:22 pm You must pay USD for membership. You will get coins along with the membership for this money. If you're capable of making plenty of coins there is nothing stopping you selling them for the USD to buy the membership. I think I saw a work around for getting a country where you want or an enterprise but I cant remember it. Sure another will post it for you.
