Slipstream (Little Upsilon) | Sunday, August 21, 2011 - 09:32 pm Newbie question... There's one private corp in my country that never pays taxes. This company has a 999 P/E, always runs in the red, retains some product for some contracts, and it's employment level is always 100%. So is it beneficial to have a corp on your planet that pays no taxes but does employ your people? Maybe it's even common, I'm too new to know. lol My country is Catalina on LU, and thanks in advance. |
white darkness | Monday, August 22, 2011 - 01:46 am It employs people, they're not on the dole. So what if it doesn't pay taxes. It won't because it's not making a profit. |
Matt Patton (Golden Rainbow) | Monday, August 22, 2011 - 09:40 pm It pays country resources used no profit no tax |

Crafty (Golden Rainbow) | Tuesday, August 23, 2011 - 12:02 am A lot of countries dont even charge private corps any tax. That encourages more enterprises to have corps in your country. Like Matt tried to say, these corps will pay you 'country resources used' which is far far more than tax could ever be. The responsibility on your behalf is to make sure there are enough workers and the welfare for corps is over 100, largely effected by employment rates and transport index. Private corp employees also pay income tax (about 40% I think) which helps too |

Slipstream (Little Upsilon) | Tuesday, August 30, 2011 - 10:46 pm Strange, that company pays no tax and no country resources either. Still, as ya'll pointed out, my country's employees have jobs and do pay income tax. |
