rep (Little Upsilon) | Monday, June 6, 2011 - 05:37 pm If you are attacking a country with a President, it is VERY bad to do a sneak attack, as it will get most of the rest of the world against you. It may even end up with a lot of countries attacking you in return, especially if the one you attack has friends. Plus it's just bad form, it shows you cannot be trusted. CEOs may pull their corps out of your country, there may be a trade embargo placed against you. I'm sure you're getting the picture. Think back in RL history. Hitler's sneak attack on Poland, Japan's sneak attack on the U.S., those didn't work out too well for the agressors. |
Maestro2000 (White Giant) | Monday, June 6, 2011 - 07:44 pm Actually Hitler's sneak attack on Poland worked out ok for Germany. It's the sneak attack on the Soviets that didn't work out so good. |

rep (Little Upsilon) | Monday, June 6, 2011 - 08:54 pm Touche, Maestro! I was thinking more along the long term result, but you zapped me pretty good. His sneak attacks all the way up to Barbarossa were pretty efficient. And even Barbarossa is debatable. If he wouldn't have lost his mind, and consolidated when the winter set in instead of his insane "don't give back an inch", who knows? |
