I just declared war so I could assess the situation. My radar planes are still on a slow cargo run from KB, though. But I should be able to soon see the garrison situation. This is the configuration I see so far: ![]() I don't see a heli unit, so if it's like other WL1 -3 wars I've done, it should only require a few hundred heavy tanks or arty, done in 15 mins sorta thing. What am I missing?

Its the same multiple and linked map objects that you fixed for my country in the past. it wouldn't really be a problem except that there is almost not enough targets in a C3 on TA to allow you to win a war, and this bug takes away targets that a player could attack. I doubt that anyone but very skilled and determined warlord could finish a war on TA. Any progress I could make involves a url hacking/marco polo approach to get a lock on phantom positions and then attack them. Unfortunately, in my case that phantom target has a garrison I wasn't prepared for. So I cannot test further, I might cargo some stealth fighters though. Unless someone on TA wants to kick me over some, for testing. Please correct this, GM.

Friday, January 10, 2025 - 10:38 pm ![]() I've done a thorough analysis including messing around with client side code modification. I don't think you can win a war on TA at this time. I came very close, but the longer it drags on the more impossible it becomes. If anyone else tries, I recommend that you plan to complete it within the month. Also, choose a target that has as many targets as possible. If I had had even one or two more targets to to attack in the first month, I might have made it. If you get close, you can look at the source code of that war window to get some idea of what targets you can hit as well as their target id number. From there you can open the attack window frame into a new window and modify the url to change the target id. Then you just have reason out it's location based on distance and moving around to pin it down and kill it. You wont see the result of your attacks unless you minimize the log, and then maximize it to force it to update with the result of your attack on the phantom object.

Saturday, January 11, 2025 - 09:03 am ![]() hymy, I just placed an update on TA on the forum. we will fix the war problem on TA ASAP. I think that your comment about finishing the war in a single game month is crucial. Because of the very limited size of countries and in order to keep them standing, a correction mechanism runs each game month and checks many values in each C3 country and makes many corrections. The war damage from the previous month, results in some corrections and is probably the cause of the problem. If the war if finished in a single month, the correction process does not have time to intervene. So this is where we will look for the reason for the problem. However, there are hundreds of small corrections that add up and by the end of that process there might be no trace of the ongoing war and damage from the previous month. I already started some of these corrections. They also fit in our intention to upgrade TA.

Sunday, January 12, 2025 - 10:14 am ![]() One of the reasons for the problem with targets could be associated with a correction effort to keep the cities in the country. some of the corrections yesterday include: - increasing the population numbers in C3 countries on TA, - Leaving the cities alone and letting the month processing do its job. maps could repair themselves or they are damaged beyond repair. we will check tomorrow and if damaged, we will wipe that map layer out and recreate it from scratch. That process will probably resolve the problem. Before, we will keep looking at the relevant parts of the repair process on TA and might remove parts of it.

Thursday, January 16, 2025 - 09:11 am ![]() There is a problem on TA and it will be resolved. we think that the source of the problem is already largely fixed but that the results are not reversed yet. please let me know the name of the country where you do not know where the capital is. mentioning a problem without a location does not allow us to look into it. when we have enough data from our logs, we will probably regenerate all maps on TA early next week.

We have done some checking of countries and looked for problems. we have no known cases where the maps are wrong. you probably do have them. please give us the name of a country where the map is wrong, or has another issue with war. please specify the country name and one of the problems you have. Map item name, type etc. we will try to find out what the problem is.

There is nothing there that makes wars impossible. there were several wars in the early days of TA and there was no problem. this is an error and it should be resolved of course but we have no specific data and currently, no examples of countries where the problem can be viewed.

Once a war is declared, several more items then become mislabeled, army units become stationary objects, etc.. The countries are as follows: The Democratic Union of Narasos The Empire of Zelsod The Independent State of Pergo lin The Democratic Union of Onigra The Democratic Union of Xilipo The Kingdom of Mentana pretty much all of Paova Major Continent and the Great Almond Region Is this enough info? Can I gather anymore that would help identify the issue?

Saturday, February 1, 2025 - 10:18 am ![]() Obviously we will have to. the error is not, as we thought, in the map layer where the cities and other objects are. The error is in the database and when you repaint, based on the records in the database, you get the same map again. so we have to find exactly what is causing the problem in the database and fix it and we have then to repair the wrong item.

Today or tomorrow, I will manually wipe out the next layer which is the database records related to all the items on the map of this country. All names and locations of items will be wiped out too. The following month run should then rebuild these records, based on the source, which is the country database with all numbers of items and their types. This is a more radical solution and as I know the underlying structures, it should resolve the problem. In case it does so, we will automate this action and extend it to all C3 countries on TA. This is radical but has no other consequences for the countries. At this point, we have reasons to believe that there is no more to this problem than the false records that currently describe these items.

Monday, February 3, 2025 - 08:30 am ![]() The maps in the kingdom of mentalak seem to be fixed. It means that the procedure does work. I was surprised by the time it took for the new items to show up on the map after the wipe out. This is of course no problem. The first month run did not fix it. the second one did. We will now try to find an easy way to do the same, in one go, to all C3 countries on TA. It might happen tonight or the day after. We will also look into the war expiration. Due to the different way TA works, we have a monthly procedure that makes sure many parameters do not run away. The procedure fixes them repeatedly and makes TA what it is. The procedure is probably overdone in some aspects of the simulation. We think that it is responsible for what happened. In the mean time, and for more reasons, we are removing many of these controls and are bringing TA closer to the way other worlds work. Many parameters that are related to the maps, but also other functions are already removed. I will keep reporting here until the problem is fully resolved.

Sunday, February 9, 2025 - 06:47 pm ![]() any time estimate? before i need to start spending more gold coins to buy TA countries for more natural resources i'm just down to a few types left in my country which is still landlocked by countries that have hidden capitals and targets that none of us can take over see my dilemma here? so should i start spending money on gold coins so i can use gold coins to buy countries for resources? still trying to decide on $24 for 210 coins or just go all in and $36 for the 360, what do you suggest? I want to play the TA game but i'm not able to i'm seriously asking, not a joke thanks

Sunday, February 9, 2025 - 09:36 pm ![]() Please don't give him money for not fixing a bug. He should give you a country if he can't fix it. If nothing else he could fix one country next you. The one he fixed for me, I've beaten twice now. It's still a little buggy though, which means whatever fix he was planning, didn't fully work. But that fix is good enough for a one off done to a country for you.
