We will however, add functions to TA and make it into a major factor in the economy of all the worlds. What you need to know: - Tiny Atlas is becoming the source of several Natural resources that will increasingly be needed in other industries on all the worlds. - This trend will continue with more products and natural resources. - Tiny Atlas is very small, only 677 countries, and at some point it might become more difficult to find countries with many natural resources. To bootstrap a country on TA you need to do much more than when you start a new country on another world: - TA has very small number of people in every country. - There is no product market on TA. it might change when more players join but currently, everything must come from countries in the other worlds. - Shortage of products on TA causes the supply index to decline to zero. At a level <70, large numbers of the population, leave the country. what you need to do: - Use the free population booster for TA. It moves 100.000 people to TA. It can be used each game month and can be used to quickly increase the population. - Start cargo shuttle transport to move products into TA and eliminate the shortages. We plan a short term improvement of the shuttle transport functions to make it easier to use and much reduce the number of clicks needed to set it up. - Once there are enough workers (as a result of population movements), start corporations that build schools, high schools, universities, hospitals, roads, rail and water installations. You might need more than one of some of these to start building enough facilities that will stop the migration out of the country. - Once this is in place, you can start building natural resources corporations. TA has many resources that can be sold on all other worlds for a high price and bring high income. It will also make it possible for countries on all the other worlds, to build new products that are in short supply. |

On the topic of transporting products to deal with the shortages, some of the products cannot be traded by shuttles, but only direct trading, such as electric power. In trying to send some to my new country in TA, I received the notice that:
Quote: Sorry, you can't exchange products in the first week you own a country or enterprise. You can exchange products with Terminus in 6 days.
Is this to check to remain in place? I imagine it is there to prevent some abuse, but I'm not seeing it. |
Andy | Sunday, October 20, 2024 - 02:41 pm This check is not relevant in your case but arbitrary operations took place in the past and we stopped them with this delay. Increasing your population can continue. buying of lots of products to be transported can also take place. Purchasing shuttles and moving products by cargo shuttle can also start. transports by cargo shuttle, will use up to 20 shuttles per transport, if these are available. The worlds document has a lot of information on Tiny Atlas. that document details most of what you need to know about building countries on TA. The worlds document is one of the documents in the simcountry documentation set.

But game level 2 requires 24 million pop, 90 health index, 90 education index. Will it actually be possible to reach game level 2 on Tiny Atlas to build these corporations? Or is there no game level requirements there for corporations of this type? |

All these corporations can be built in game level 1. a corporation building production plants is also important. you need production plants to build corporations. The main issues on TA however, are the shortages of many products. it takes time before you can setup the transport of all these materials and get them over. The low number of people in the country is also an issue. use the population booster for TA. it is free, no gold coins needed and it adds 100.000 people each time. We intend to make it possible to start shuttle transports for all the materials that are stored in a space center, to another space center of your choice with a single click. It will simplify the entire issue of moving products around. The function will start one transport per product. Transports use up to 20 cargo shuttles. if you start many transports with this function, you will need many cargo shuttles. If there are not enough cargo shuttles available, the transports will wait. |
Andy | Monday, October 28, 2024 - 11:01 am We have now implemented more functions on TA that will make it easier to setup a country and build more quickly. Among the new features: - The population numbers on TA are now much higher than before. countries will start at about 11 millions. Nearly double the previous numbers. - C3 countries on TA already have much lower shortages in all products. Some of these shortages will disappear in the coming hours and many more later today and tomorrow. - Countries with a president on TA will also receive some products if these products are in short supply in the country. About 60 products will be boosted one time if numbers are very small. If there are sufficient supplies of these products, nothing will be added. Andy | Monday, October 28, 2024 - 01:41 pm We think that the economy on TA should develop and end up with the same upgrading possibility as the other worlds and even more important, with some more players joining, It should have a market. We are making a major step right now and it will already make it easier. other steps will follow. I do not think that that primary target on TA should be profitability of the countries and corporations. Profits will come from the production of rare metals and other natural resources that will be sold on the other 5 worlds and result in high profits. Also, Electric Power production. EP is very easy to move around and there are major shortages on all our worlds. |

Andy | Tuesday, October 29, 2024 - 04:39 pm The server can handle it but at the same time, the same server runs one of the worlds. (Two virtual machines). It also has large backup procedures that are sometime coinciding with other processes. we will shortly reschedule these. We have recently significantly increased the numbers of products that can be moved on a cargo shuttle to reduce the number of flights needed per transport. It was in the game news recently. we consider moving that world to another server. Also, we have a new system, our fastest server, sitting here at the office waiting to be set up and moved to the location in Amsterdam. It will be a significant addition. Traffic keeps increasing. It is a good problem. We will add more servers if needed. |

Population boosters will increase from 100.000 per booster, to 200.000 3. Corporations that produce natural resources on TA, will become easier to build with a smaller number of workers needed. The cost of natural resources that are produced on TA will become lower than on the other worlds. When smaller numbers of workers are needed per corporation, it will become easier to build more corporations. 4. The capacity of cargo shuttles to move products, will increase again. It will make transports faster and reduce the number of cargo shuttles that are needed for each transport. 5. More natural resources will be added to TA. 6. New products on all worlds, to enable the production of E-cars and trucks, car parts and E-car batteries, will use raw materials that are produced on TA. The cars and trucks industry will become more extended with more products entering the general industry and consumed by the population. Several more changes will make playing TA easier: 7. The product transportation to TA will become easier, with more automation that will reduce the number of clicks. (this was mentioned several times before). 8. We are looking at the possibility to start trading products on the market on TA which is now non existent. This change is intended to reduce the number of products that need to be transported to TA by cargo shuttles. |
