nathan | Monday, October 14, 2024 - 10:33 pm hello, I previously was using the csv dumps provided to download and run statistics. If I was pulling the data from the same IP address, the donwload worked. The url is something like this: https://sim03.simcountry.com/cgi-bin/marketprices.csv?SN_ADDRESS=wwwCountry&SN_METHOD=downloadSheet&miDocument=marketprices.514301&e=.csv However currently, when I try to download the data via the url directly (even from the same ip) i just get an html page instead of the expected data. My questions: Did something change? is this intentional? Is there anyway to access this data without manually downloading it via my browser? Thanks |
Laguna | Thursday, October 17, 2024 - 09:51 pm Hi, That still works in general, but the problem with that particular URL is that it refers to a very old date and that file is now unavailable. The oldest you can see now is July 5144 for WG. |
nathan | Friday, October 18, 2024 - 03:21 pm Thanks Laguna, Seems I had a typo in my script and my lack of proof reading lead me here. Serves me right. Now if I could figure out how to pull the data from other world's without having a country there, I would love that :D cheers |
Andy | Sunday, October 20, 2024 - 12:07 pm Nathan, I conclude that you were able to pull the data from WG. how many years back can you get? prolonging this period might be quite easy. please let me know. |
nathan | Friday, November 1, 2024 - 11:50 pm hi, thanks I think I have all the information I need now. I overlooked the fact that different worlds would have different dates so I was trying to pull the date for WG from the other worlds and wondering why it wasn't working. But all set now. I appear to have at most 2 years back from the current date on the world. I dont really have a use for older historical data, but if its available, I certainly wouldn't turn it down. thanks |
Andy | Monday, November 4, 2024 - 12:18 pm I will check here is we have any issue with prolonging the period. if it is OK we will prolong. quite busy here with many many (good) requests for improvements. it takes time to implement. |
Andy | Tuesday, November 5, 2024 - 09:49 am The database tables were kept for two real months. we will extend it to 6 months with the next upgrade. |
