Andy | Friday, August 9, 2024 - 03:42 pm Natural resources seem to show shortages on all the worlds for a long time. This will probably continue. Many countries however, on all the worlds, have plenty of unused natural resources. By far most of them are located in computer controlled countries (C3). There are C3 countries with more than 100 raw material resources in their ground and none are used. This is an easy opportunity to mine these materials and earn high returns. TA does not have that luxury yet. there are now rare metals that are found in many countries but much more will be searched for and found in the coming weeks. More raw materials will be found on TA. Anyone can mine them and bring them to markets on all worlds. But back to the first part of this text, it is easy to mine them very close to your current country. |
Breosausa | Tuesday, August 13, 2024 - 10:41 pm Certainly on KB, Enterprises cannot build mines after they cross something like 100 corporations. While the resources might exist in C3 countries, unless you take them over you cannot get to them. Or am I missing something here? |
rob72966 | Wednesday, August 14, 2024 - 12:32 am Andy I now have Baradium in my mining corp, however I cannot sell it to my enterprise yet, because there are no corps using it yet. 1) Are there corps presently using Baradium? 2) I no longer have a country on Atlas, do I need one to move Baradium? Leonard238146 | Wednesday, August 14, 2024 - 12:53 am I am somewhat confused by the persistent shortage of natural resources and how C3s aren't building these corps in a proportioned manner. I looked into several at random and only saw one with a single such corp, which was actually owned by an enterprise. Another C3 had a new corporation but it elected to build an offensive weapons one over a natural resources one. Can we have some insight into the mechanism that decides which corporation gets built in a computer controlled country? |
James Folsom | Wednesday, August 14, 2024 - 01:20 am There was just a post about this on Discord today, I think. If I understand correctly, these mining corps can only be built by premium members and C3s don't build them. There are some in C3s, but I think they are just leftover from players who built them. |
Leonard238146 | Wednesday, August 14, 2024 - 01:46 am That's at odds with the documentation:
Quote:Full members and countries without a president can build these corporations.
It fits what I've seen, but is blocking C3s from building these corps intended or unintended? |
James Folsom | Wednesday, August 14, 2024 - 03:17 am I doubt anyone knows. |
Lioncoeur | Wednesday, August 14, 2024 - 08:29 am Well it could be that the more established player have countries that have run dry on nat resources to build corps for amd a lot of enterprises have set up mining corps. But C3 AI are net drain on the supply do to not building up mining corps. |
Andy | Wednesday, August 14, 2024 - 09:38 am C3s can only build a limited number of corporations, due to the limited population. They are all up to the limit. If a product has an oversupply for some time, they might close a corporation producing it and build one with a very large shortage. this might be a natural resource corporation or another product with short supply. |
rob72966 | Thursday, August 15, 2024 - 12:00 am Andy, How do you get Baradium to the market? I cannot get it out of my corporation. Rob |
Andy | Thursday, August 15, 2024 - 08:13 am Like Targon and Metadium, contract the corporation to deliver to the country. then into the space center. I just moved it to the space center. did not move it by cargo shuttle yet. |
