Languid Dreamer | Tuesday, August 6, 2024 - 03:12 am I used to be able to move cities and factories and such on the map to relocate them, but suddenly, it doesn't work anymore. Can't get it to work on Chrome or Edge. Anyone know what the problem might be? |
auditor | Tuesday, August 6, 2024 - 03:38 am I just made a test country (in Chrome) and went through the normal process and were able to move items on the map as normal. I can't say for sure what the issue may be, so I'll try to help by rattling off possibilities based on my experience because your post was a little vague as to the full scale of your issue. There are certain areas on the map where things can't relocate to. Generally it is due to an already high concentration of icons in the particular area. I believe water was also an issue at times in some countries. Is the problem with all of your countries (assuming you have more than one) or just one? One possible hail mary attempt at a fix would be to clear your browser cookies and refresh the page. That sometimes helps people that have issues with icons or portraits not refreshing, I suppose it is possible that it could help in this situation though I have no experience with the problem specifically to back that up. If you try to work through these things above and are still having trouble, try to share in more detail if you could exactly what the problem is. Try to move the cities to multiple different spots on the map to see if you have an overall problem or if it is just a matter of not being able to put them in a specific spot. Since you've moved them before I'm not going to patronize you by trying to walk you through the entire process of moving them. If it still doesn't work for you hopefully Andy will be able to get to the bottom of it, but he will want to know your country name and world that you are on before he even attempts to look into your situation. |
James Folsom | Tuesday, August 6, 2024 - 06:08 am Hey auditor, Can I interest you in some nice beach front property on KB? It’s not as nice as that phallic thing you had on Lu though. |
Languid Dreamer | Tuesday, August 6, 2024 - 03:47 pm I wonder if it is because I am in a state of war? |
auditor | Tuesday, August 6, 2024 - 04:14 pm That would do it. They don't treat wars differently as far as what you can/can't do between pve/pvp wars, and for obvious reasons the game letting you move your fortifications etc as you please while enemy divisions are rolling across your country would be problematic. I think you just discovered your true issue. And James, I appreciate the offer but you know the answer. I didn't even bother to move any money or assets into account storage, I straight up wiped a few quadrillion worth of assets and cash from the servers and would need to see significant changes with the game's management to even slightly consider putting in effort to this game again. My account is still paid up and the forum is currently active so I still pop in here and help when I can of course. That test country was made, tested, and immediately deleted. |
Prince Greg | Tuesday, August 6, 2024 - 04:14 pm Yeah. During war you can't relocate object. |
Andy | Tuesday, August 6, 2024 - 06:53 pm Languid, I see they already helped you out. I hope it is clear to you that it is not reasonable to allow a county in war move everything around. |
Languid Dreamer | Tuesday, August 6, 2024 - 07:52 pm Yes, thank you everyone. My war ended and I can move things as per usual. |
