Andy | Thursday, August 1, 2024 - 03:42 pm The reduction in pricing in the last game update was significant and will reduce the price of building an army. we hope it will enable more players to build an army and not only very rich players. the reduction is probably not enough but more will be done later. maintaining an army will become more significant, mainly for countries with very large armies. To escape high maintenance cost of the army, you can currently move weapons into enterprises. This of course, forces players who might not be interested, into higher costs. if they want to move the weapons into an enterprise, then they need one in every world they want to use the escape. Thinking again about beginners and players who are not interested in enterprises, we wonder if this escape is fair. Here are some thoughts that are far from being part of any plan: 1. Peaceful players should not have any weapons or ammunitions stored in enterprises. In fact, they should not have any weapons. 2. Peaceful players should not have a large army at all. we could set a max defense index and above it, the country player is not a peaceful player any more. 3. War players should have more flexibility in terms of were they store their weapons. There are enough strategic reasons for that and it should remain an option. But the quantities of weapons and ammunitions that are stored in enterprises make it impossible for anyone to even think about a war with such a player. Most storage of weapons in enterprises is there not because of any strategic reasons but just to escape maintenance cost. It is not really fair for players who just pay for the maintenance of their armies to see huge quantities of weapons, that could be used against them on short notice, stored in enterprises at no cost at all. we could think about a defense index for enterprises that are owned by war players and set a max defense index for these enterprises. There are many other possibilities to resolve this issue but as it is now, smaller players are nowhere and they will never join the war game. 4. We also think that sneak attacks should be used more and have more effect especially on very large army countries and will become a way for the little people to make a point, forcing the large army players to set up a larger defense against such attacks. Nothing here is written in stone or even in a design stage. These ideas floated before but nothing was implemented. We do think however, that very large players should be interested as it will not be trivial, it will be a challenge and some players were looking for one. |
