Andy | Tuesday, February 8, 2022 - 02:22 pm Award penalties have been implemented Following the payment of some awards in SOL coins, we have reported here that the award penalties were not applied to countries that won SOL awards. The error is now corrected both for countries and enterprises. We think that many other players, will have a higher chance to win awards in February. To win your award in crypto SOL coins, you must enter your wallet address into Simcountry before March 1. Balancing the workers employment numbers A last small update is implemented. We think that the shortages in HLWs we have seen for a very long period are now subsided. We have tested in several countries in looked into many more and we see that the need for manual interventions has subsided. If you think that this is not true, please let us know and give us a world/country name. We see many countries with lower numbers of unemployed workers and many unemployed professionals. Reducing the education priorities for professionals with many unemployed, will reduce the numbers of the unemployed and at the same time, will increase the numbers of unemployed LLWs. To educate professionals, the education system it turning LLWs into professionals and the number of available LLWs declines. |
johnV | Thursday, February 24, 2022 - 11:43 am Education/Employment Problem I believe this was the day I noticed my need for HLM's greatly increased. Since then new HLM graduates are not being employed in sufficient numbers. The only changes in the country were a slight increase in schools and HLM priority. In the year May to April there were over 41,000 HLM grads but only 1,200 got jobs. Employment in my countries is falling because the population is growing faster than the needed HLM's are being employed. On White Giant Annwn Boldihr Caliel Deverry Meliora Thanks, |

Please look at Meliora on White Giant Did the countries you looked at have a large number of public corps? My country has 2/3 of its corps as public. It needs about 200,000 more HLM's than other countries its size. Of 3,500 HLM's graduated a month only 100 are employed. |
Emerithe Cantanine | Sunday, March 6, 2022 - 04:09 pm Just want to add to this. In 4 of my 5 countries, roughly 30-50% of the corporations are public and those 4 have huge problems with employment. The 1 country that doesn't have any public corporations, has no problems with employment. |
Emerithe Cantanine | Sunday, March 6, 2022 - 04:12 pm Oh probably should have mentioned what those countries were on WG: Countries with many public corporations, but employment problems: Not Missouri A Duck Probably Not Colorado Emerithe Land Country with no public corporations, but no employment problems: Not Oklahoma |

C H | Friday, March 25, 2022 - 05:40 am I am bumping this as well. I am also having an issue on GR where the automation for education doesn't do anything even with positive cashflow. Doesn't build any sort of school and also doesn't seem to auto prioritize the education policies for what is needed most. The whole automation of education seems to have broken after the update, at least on GR. |
Matthew IV | Saturday, March 26, 2022 - 03:30 am I'll leave this comment here for those having troubles: 1. Education, Education, Education. -Most, if not all problems, with corporations originate here. Either you don't have enough workers or have too many corporations for your population, an extremely common mistake for newer people to make. Don't automate your education, even if the update didn't break it, it's not going to be nearly as efficient as setting it yourself. Even if they're corps owned by someone else, and it doesn't have enough workers, it's a problem on your end. You either don't have an education index/priority set for your industries needs or you have too many corporations. When you build corporations it should tell you if you have enough people to staff them. You can also always look at what % they're hiring at. Hint: It should be 100. |
Curtis Herbold | Wednesday, March 30, 2022 - 05:07 pm Matthew IV I don't deny setting these manually is far better BUT for newbies Automation helps till they get used to the game so telling a newbie to do something when they just started playing is like asking a person to jump off a cliff and have a leap of faith. You are also assuming that everyone here is a noob accept for management by what you said in that post which as a long standing player of simcountry since the games birth, I find a little offensive. I may have played off and on over the years but as a long time player I can promise you I'm not some chump noob and that there IS a problem with the automation system. I rely on it HEAVIALLY when I first come back for at least the first 100k population and from there I set it manually to what I need and in the past this strategy has ALWAYS worked. However after taking a 2 year break from simcontry, and here to stay this time to earn that crypto, I CAN PROMISE YOU its a ligit issue since I use automation as part of my strategy for every time I came back. |
Curtis Herbold | Thursday, March 31, 2022 - 02:48 pm I also just found out that the automation for automatic salaries isn't working so it seems like several automatic systems are not working. |
johnV | Wednesday, April 20, 2022 - 10:45 am Curtis, about auto salary, you would be better off just using fixed salary for gov and corps. Matthew, it was not my education problem as it was targeted at one profession. Look at the graphs, where did 3,00 managers go every month. A sincere THANK YOU to all the leaders who accepted my worker trades. Without your help it would have taken me months to get my employment up. |
Andy | Monday, April 25, 2022 - 04:43 pm JohnV I missed that issue and it is probably too late. However, the graphs you show and the associated numbers represent small fluctuations. The hiring system goes by certain priorities and computes the hiring each game month. The order can change a bit and it can handle a corporation that needs many HLM earlier than in the previous month causing fluctuations in hiring. Not sure this is clear. Unemployed HLM show numbers between zero and 130. it is too small to have any significance. If you have another example, I would like to look into it, on time, to see if I can find a problem in the computation. Another factor by the way, is the fact that some of the unemployed, in all groups, are "giving up" if they remain unemployed, and are moving back to workers groups to get a job. The computing of employments makes such changes, each game month, depending on the numbers of unemployed. Otherwise, you could have a million too many in for example the nurses group, stuck there for many years, remaining unemployed. Instead, some thousands, are giving up each game month and flow back to the workers groups and find jobs outside their profession. |
