Andy | Wednesday, December 15, 2021 - 01:09 pm We intend to (optionally) pay Simcountry awards in $SOL coins (the currency of the Solana blockchain). Players will have the option to have their awards paid to them in Gold coins as it is done now, or, if they create a Solana wallet and enter the wallet address into Simcountry, they will have their awards paid into that wallet. Example: The first place award for a player in one of the Simcountry worlds, will be 0.25 $SOL. You can check the current market price for $SOL. It is easy to convert your $SOL into USD or Euros or other currencies through any of a large number of available cryptocurrency exchanges. When we are ready to release this new feature we will publish clear instructions on how to create a wallet address and a few options on how to cash out $SOL coins to USD, EURO or other currencies. There is no cost involved in setting up a Solana wallet. |
Johanas Bilderberg | Wednesday, December 15, 2021 - 01:45 pm Awesome Andy. Thank you guys for all your hard work. |
Ethelred | Wednesday, December 15, 2021 - 06:54 pm 6 cents. |
Andy | Wednesday, December 15, 2021 - 07:28 pm On the market today, one SOL is $ 157. If the price will decline, we will increase the awards. we will purchase the SOLs we need for the awards in the coming weeks. |
Andy | Thursday, December 16, 2021 - 01:27 pm Crypto coin awards - the time line We intend to pay the awards of January 2022 in crypto coins to all players who with to participate. Starting January, best players each month will be awarded in cash. Details will follow. we will show exactly how you can create a free wallet and how you can withdraw your crypto coins and receive cash into your bank account. |
Andy | Friday, December 17, 2021 - 10:19 am To receive an award in Crypto coins you will need an account with an exchange, where we can put these coins. We will use $SOL coins. (currently $ US 176) We will use the Coinbase platform. Coinbase is a public company, traded on NASDAQ with a market value of around 50B. It is a major crypto exchange and the only one traded publicly with such a market value. We will publish here an exact explanation on how to create such account. There are many explanations on youtube. this is not rocket science, it is comperable to setting up a bank account. No cost involved. You do not need to purchase any crypto at all. When you have an account, and you win an award, the award will be deposited on that account. You will be able to withdraw immediately into your bank account, or leave it there to accumulate if you expect more awards. Awards will total up to around 6 $SOLs to start with (if everyone participates). If only few players participate we will increase the award amounts. If more people play Simcountry, the total value of the awards will increase. If the $SOL increases in value to much higher values, we might be forced to reduce $SOL numbers a bit. If the $SOL value declines significantly, we will increase the number of $SOLs paid. I do not think many of you remember but in the initial period of Simcountry, we paid awards in cash. It became very difficult and at the time, there was no full member feature. Current software, allows for much easier automatic execution, and we are returning to cash awards. How will it work: Anyone who wants to receive an award in $SOLs will create a Coinbase account. We will provide a tutorial. We will add a page on the site where you can enter the Coinbase account number. We will encrypt the number and store it with the player record. When awards are paid, everyone who entered a Coinbase account number, will be paid in $SOLs. Everyone who did not enter a Coinbase account number, will be paid in gold coins. The update is being prepared now. The page where the Coinbase account number can be entered will be added ASAP. we want to start paying awards in $SOLs on Feb. 1. |
Clonan | Friday, December 17, 2021 - 12:00 pm Nice one game master.. but you also need to consider people in countries where coinbase exchange doesn't support.. African Countries Precisely... I will Love to participate in this but this present condition limits me from participating as I can't possibly verify any account with Coinbase.. Can any other Exchange which $Sol are tradable be used?? Like Binance etc.. thank you.. |
Johanas Bilderberg | Friday, December 17, 2021 - 01:51 pm Have you considered bringing back allowing players to exchange game currency for gold coins? I have a quadrillion laying about. |
Andy | Friday, December 17, 2021 - 04:50 pm We are looking at more things game money could do. we have some ideas. We have made countries more profitable in the past years. as a result, there is a lot of game money around. allowing these huge amounts into gold coins? There will be millions of gold coins, and growing fast. Than what? We need to add functions that will allow players to invest large amounts in something that could become valuable. one thought was NFTs. |
Andy | Friday, December 17, 2021 - 04:59 pm We will look into Binance. |
Andy | Monday, December 20, 2021 - 11:41 am The exchange name is not relevant. Players will just enter a wallet address on an exchange of their choice, provided they have a wallet in $SOL on that exchange. Coinbase and Binance are examples where it can be done. There are many more. To start with, we will provide a tutorial showing how to create a wallet on Coinbase. we might add more tutorials for other exchanges, or players could do so too. |
Andy | Monday, December 20, 2021 - 11:25 pm We will upgrade Simcountry this week to include the function to enter a wallet address. This will allow players to accept game awards in crypto currency. Awards for December will be paid in January. These awards will be all in gold coins. Awards for January will be paid February 1. These awards will be in $SOL for players who have a wallet address and have entered the wallet address into Simcountry. |
Harald | Tuesday, December 21, 2021 - 07:09 pm I am new here. I like the idea of Crypto coins. I have some questions: 1. why are you doing this 2. Why are you using $SOL |
Andy | Tuesday, December 21, 2021 - 07:40 pm We think that paying cash awards to winners will make Simcountry more attractive for many. I many countries, 0.25 $SOL is a lot of money. If we grow, we will increase the awards. Solana is a very large crypto coin. Probably number 3 or 4 in size. The $SOL cost about $ 180 and is in good position to stabilize or grow. There are many projects running on the Solana platform. |
Harald | Tuesday, December 21, 2021 - 11:03 pm About the awards If the no 1 winner does not use the crypto option and no 2 does. will no 2 get the first crypto award? Or will he get the second crypto award? |
Andy | Wednesday, December 22, 2021 - 09:10 am The #1 winner will get the #1 award, either gold coins or $SOL. same with #2. The winner will get the award that is linked to the second place. |
Harald | Wednesday, December 22, 2021 - 03:01 pm You mentioned an upgrade this week. does it mean you will pay the next awards, January 1 in SOL? |
Andy | Wednesday, December 22, 2021 - 03:44 pm The upgrade will be this week and allow players to enter their wallet addresses. The first awards to be paid in $SOL, will be paid for January, on Feb. 1st or 2nd. |
Ethelred | Wednesday, December 22, 2021 - 11:19 pm My wallet address is more than 32 characters. |
King Aaren I | Thursday, December 23, 2021 - 04:10 pm Mine is too! |
Andy | Thursday, December 23, 2021 - 04:21 pm We will make corrections, probably on Monday. sorry about that |
Andy | Friday, December 24, 2021 - 08:27 am The wallet address is in many cases longer than 32 characters. the current page does not allow that. it will be fixed coming Monday. we will also add a tutorial example on how to create a wallet address ASAP. There is enough time to put these details in place. First $SOL awards will be on Feb. 1st. |
Lakan High King Rene Sarabia Jr. | Tuesday, December 28, 2021 - 09:15 am To what rank asides from first will $Sol be awarded to and is it available in Asia where I am in? |
Andy | Tuesday, December 28, 2021 - 03:31 pm Everyone can win these awards if you have a wallet address and entered it into Simcountry. we do not look into the country where the president lives. You just need to be able to setup a wallet. It will be paid to all members. Both full members and to free members although it will be more difficult to them. There will be awards on all 5 worlds. in each world, there will be 10 awards to presidents and 5 awards to enterprise CEOs. Max number is 75 awards per month. We do not think that all of them will have wallet addresses. At least not immediately. the others will receive gold coins in the game as in the current situation. If the number of wallets is small, we will increase the awards. Awards will be between 0.25 $SOL and 0.05 $SOL. |
John Galt | Sunday, January 2, 2022 - 12:21 am Andy allowing players to trade gold coins for game money with each other would have no impact on the total gold supply. One player has to buy gold coins from you. Then they sell those purchased coins to another player in exchange for game money. I believe this is what Johanas was asking for. We are not asking for exchanging cash for gold with you guys, just with other players. Let the whales be whales and let the skilled players get rich off Crypto. I have been saying it for a long time. This game needs to bring back the fabled and mythical credit card warriors of the old times. |
Andy | Sunday, January 2, 2022 - 08:32 am I think it is more important to create new ways for players with a lot of game money to do something with it. |
Ethelred | Sunday, January 2, 2022 - 11:15 am I think NFTs are a great idea. |
Andy | Sunday, January 2, 2022 - 05:46 pm We also think so. We think that we could upgrade our maps and create NFTs that also have a function in Simcountry. We are working on various aspects of such a project. |
Andy | Sunday, January 9, 2022 - 04:10 pm Just to remind you: Award for January, will be paid in $SOL, in the first days of February. Please enter a wallet address to participate.
|
Andy | Monday, January 24, 2022 - 05:46 pm We will pay awards in SOL crypto coins on Feb. 1st or 2nd. The price of the SOL declined in the past weeks. As we said before, if the price of the SOL is changed substantially, we will update the intended awards. We will most probably need to do that. The exact amount in SOL will be decided on Jan. 31st. You are all invited to create a SOL wallet address and enter it into Simcountry to participate. If you win an award and do not enter a wallet address, the award will be paid, as before, in gold coins. |
