Michael M | Sunday, August 22, 2021 - 01:08 am One can manipulate the education priorities to get more teachers, high tech engineers and other professionals, but how do you get more low, medium and high level workers? Would increasing the population help with that? |
Amalie | Sunday, August 22, 2021 - 01:26 am I have low level workers I could send u if ur on WG What is the name of ur country |
Kaizer Zen | Sunday, August 22, 2021 - 03:26 pm Increasing the population will help with that of course. It will also increase all other levels of workers as well. If you're optimizing your workforce for high employment / low unemployment it is best to keep a good education index. You can always change profession of educated workers 100,000 a month, to LMH level workers. Another big factor in workforce is your population age distribution. If you have a large percentage of population below the 24-30 age bracket you can expect more workers and educated workers entering the workforce. These youngsters are graduating high school and college. At the same time if you have a lower percentage of young population you will not see a significant increase in available workers, as well with more retiring workers. This will cause worker shortages. The only way to fix these types of shortages with declining population is to close corporations or add population. If your country is growing, you won't have an issue with employment as long as you keep a balanced workforce, good education index, and changing education priorities as necessary. |
Banedon Runestar | Monday, August 23, 2021 - 07:54 pm My biggest issue is that I usually wind up with a large overstock of MLW. I have no idea what I need to do to turn them into something useful. |
Matthew II | Monday, August 23, 2021 - 08:28 pm -Have large education index. -Set priority 8-10 for low level managers. -Once educated, you can change low level managers into low/medium/high level workers. This should allow you to transfer over a few hundred thousand workers every few days, if not more. This is what I do to fill any High level worker shortage I might have. This also presumes your indexes are good. If you have a bad education index, it will not help as much. |

Jiggle Billy | Monday, August 23, 2021 - 09:12 pm There is no automatic way to obtain low, med, high level workers. Most people find the best solution is to set up a high education index, 180 - 200, then go at the top of the country page: Departments - Labor - Change profession of some workers Then change profession of educated workers (managers, high tech, teachers, etc...) down to low, med, or high level workers as needed. You can change up to 200,000 jobs per game month. Looking at your main country, please note that the education index is based on your worst index of elementary, high school, and university; raising one extra high without the rest offers no real benefit, they need to remain balanced. |
