The Mentalist | Sunday, July 18, 2021 - 09:45 pm Dear Game Master: Please implement again the automatically option to buy ammunition and weapons needed when a army unit or supply unit is set up. Buying item by item to set up an military unit is hard and take much time, is like counting grain by grain of coffe before you drink your hot beverage. Please implement this...or we make a revolution and a Coup of State to the Game Master. XD Thanks in advance and best regards. |
The Mentalist | Sunday, July 18, 2021 - 10:35 pm A voting poll is started in the Votings and News option. Vote yes If you want to give a Game Master a Coup of State...cough...heavy cough...Vote yes if you want the implementacion of automation option to buy ammo and weapons in one step when a army unit is set up. Thanks in advance for your vote. |
Robert | Monday, July 19, 2021 - 06:50 am I agree- I do wish that option were still available. The current method is antiquated and a pain. May the great GameLord of Simcountry Worlds hear our please! )))) |
Amalie | Tuesday, July 20, 2021 - 02:59 am I agree |
Lord Mndz | Tuesday, July 20, 2021 - 07:08 pm some require to prevent it and some ask for it, what the gamemaster should do?) personally i think it is safer to leave as is and make people think about quality and cost before just buying everything. it will save more presidents from bancruipcy and make others think what they buy. |
Kyle | Tuesday, July 20, 2021 - 09:27 pm I back Lord Mndz |
jeffcd1818 | Tuesday, July 20, 2021 - 09:56 pm I would like to see it brought back. |
Dbl D | Tuesday, July 20, 2021 - 11:47 pm My thoughts are the same as Mndz. When I first saw this I thought about the debt it's going to impose on inexperienced players, and if you want to be a warlord you need to think strategically. |
Jiggle Billy | Wednesday, July 21, 2021 - 01:10 pm If it does get brought back, it needs to be done only over a certain war level. It was a dangerous trap to inexperienced players, but did make preparing for war easier for those who had all their homework and other settings correct. |
rob72966 | Wednesday, July 21, 2021 - 02:23 pm If brought back, first you need to fix the multiple over orders that deplete countries funds. You should also look into the same problem with over ordering hospitals, schools, basic supplies etc... |
Johanas Bilderberg | Thursday, July 22, 2021 - 12:23 pm You shouldn't be creating military units unless you have the neccessary fuel, trucks, supplies, and ammunition in large quantities to begin with. |
Michael M | Sunday, July 25, 2021 - 03:20 am Sounds like there may be a civil war rather than a revolution reading the posts here. |
Johanas Bilderberg | Sunday, July 25, 2021 - 02:16 pm Let me break it down for the interested parties. First priority is logistics. The ability to supply your forces with ammunition, fuel, and supplies. Any war country that you plan on using for operations should include at bare minimum... 1,000,000 tons of gasoline/ aircraft fuel 1,000,000 ammunition for unit you are using 1,000,000 units of military suppplies. 10,000 trucks 3k defensive jeeps. This does not include spare weapons to replace losses. Now that you have this stored in country use the defensive jeeps to form multiple supply units. Hope this helps. |
Dbl D | Sunday, July 25, 2021 - 06:12 pm Listen to Johanas. These are things you will only learn from experienced Presidents. If you're not in a federation seek one out with an experienced Leader. |
Andy | Tuesday, July 27, 2021 - 03:43 pm I loved this feature. I made it happen in the first place and hated seeing it gone. It has however caused a lot of damage and we have lost some good players because of it. The last incident that resulted in the feature being frozen, was player who used it big time. it caused spending of hundreds of billions and he accused the gamemaster for stealing his money, backed by cash numbers the night before and after. Obviously he did not look into the spending log. Nothing could change his mind. a feature that can cause massive spending will cause damage. new players do not understand what it takes to build these units and are surprised, and become angry. The cost was much reduced since then, mainly ammunition, but it remains a problem. Writing all this, I have an idea that could fix it. I will talk to a developer here. |
The Mentalist | Wednesday, July 28, 2021 - 06:49 am Sad to read about that bad experience, Andy. But as other players have opined, the feature can be implemented again with certain game-level restrictions. Good to hear that you are bringing a developer here! Kind regards. |
Andy | Friday, July 30, 2021 - 02:09 pm We will reimplement the feature. You must be a full member. You will be able to build 1 unit at a time but can use it repeatedly. Must have 100B in cash for it to work. |
Weyland | Friday, July 30, 2021 - 07:42 pm "Johanas doesn't properly defend his supply lines". Make a mental note of this. Just in case. |
Weyland | Friday, July 30, 2021 - 07:57 pm By the way, this feature should never cause debt, it should be limited by military spending space. |
Johanas Bilderberg | Saturday, July 31, 2021 - 04:18 am I'm located on the beautiful island of Lacerta on LU. Say when. |
Weyland | Saturday, July 31, 2021 - 07:30 pm Never heard of it. |
Andy | Sunday, August 1, 2021 - 10:24 am When you use the feature to build a unit, you expect it to purchase everything that is needed. Otherwise, it is even more confusing and does not make any sense. In such a case, you cannot stop half way even if you run out of cash. This is why we will implement it for building one unit and require 100B in cash before it starts purchasing. It will purchase everything you need for the one unit. If you want to start it for the second time, it will check again if you have the 100B in cash. the chance you run into high debt is then very small. it should in fact be 300B in cash. |
Weyland | Sunday, August 1, 2021 - 11:00 am I found that with 700B spending space I couldn't purchase everything I needed for a strategic carrier group. Also, an army unit isn't a lot of use if you don't have reserves of ammo, fuel etc for that unit. Debt is only part of the problem, Andy, it also creates shortages. |
The Mentalist | Sunday, August 1, 2021 - 07:07 pm @ Andy: Thank you for listening (reading) all the opinions on this topic. My respects and greetings. |
Amalie | Sunday, August 1, 2021 - 11:50 pm @Andi this is great to hear I can not wait for the feature to return However i do think you should also increase the military spending space by 300B |
Robert | Monday, August 2, 2021 - 12:35 am Andy- when will this feature be implemented? Thank you for bringing it back. |
Anihana | Monday, August 2, 2021 - 04:48 pm Brilliant. |
The_Wicked_Lady | Tuesday, August 3, 2021 - 02:49 am All I have to say is, much love, my son, Andrew! |
