The annual African Union Summit has kicked off in Addis Ababa today. This 33rd Ordinary Summit, which commenced on today 9th January, will run until the 15th of January 2021.
Comprising statutory meetings and side events, the summit is being held under the African Union’s theme for the year 2021; "Silencing the Guns: Creating Conducive Conditions For Africa’s Development"
Silencing the Guns is a commitment to achieve the Aspirations of Africa's 7 points Agenda before march 2021, specifically Aspiration 4, which envisions a peaceful and secure Africa, thereby making peace a reality for African people.
The first statutory meeting of the summit was that of the Permanent Representatives Committee (PRC), which was held from the 1st to 7th of January 2021. The outcomes of the PRC deliberations will be considered by the Executive Council, whose meetings are scheduled to run from the 9th to 14th January 2021. The Executive Council are charged with preparing the documents and drafting the decisions and declarations that will be considered by the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of LU and WG, who will meet from the 14th to 15th January 2021.
In addition to the key discussions around the Theme of the Year 2021 and the road towards implementation of Africa’s peace and security agenda, other headline issues to be deliberated upon during the summit include, sustainable funding of Africa’s development agenda specifically addressing the scale of assessment and contributions to the AU’s budget, Africans Union Military Expansion in WG, African Union Nuclear Program in WGA, African Union IMF etc.. The Summit is declared Open.. |

The African Union is a member of the WGA; however, the WGA is firmly against unnecessary nuclear build up and is no way involved in any summit conducted by the African Union. |

The African Union Nuclear Program is a peaceful Nuclear Program with the Sole Aim of Deterring Hostile States from African Union Territories, it's the Sole Domestic Responsibility of the African Union Government to Protect it's Citizen.. My States Applauds the WGA for it's relentless Effort in keeping WG Safe, we hope this good works Continue, and hope to partner with WGA member states in terms of infrastructure, Defense, and Economic Development.. We aslo Apologies for any Inconvenience this Urgent Summit has caused..
