Cycrillix | Saturday, February 29, 2020 - 07:46 pm With current migration indexes, the standard index is enough to not only prevent emigration but be able to attract migrants. As a result migration to countries with higher indexes is extremely low as a result of the migration being spread out across all countries. I propose that countries with standard migration index should NOT get emigration, but not get migration either. I would also like to propose a minimum 70-80 or more migration index requirement to get immigrants. |

John Galt | Saturday, February 29, 2020 - 07:49 pm I think the problem is that in the past C3s were very poorly managed. It was rare for them to get welfare index over 100. A few years ago, they improved C3 management in an update and now they are able to maintain fairly high welfare indexes, which is likely why there is no migration anymore. My migration index is very similar to the index of your typical C3. So the only way for immigration to happen would be for people to leave my country or C3 countries. I don't know if your solution will work because you are proposing no emigration from standard indexes. |
John Galt | Saturday, February 29, 2020 - 07:51 pm Some migration info: 727. Migration [ top ] The number of people migrating into your country or out of your country each month depends on your migration index. There are three levels of exit migration, depending on your migration index. Level 1: If the migration index is lower than 26: 0.03% of your population will migrate each game month. Level 2: If the migration index is lower than 18: 0.06% of your population will migrate each game month. Level 3: If the migration index is lower than 11: 0.1% of your population will migrate each game month. The total number of migrants will enter countries with a high migration index also depend on the migration index. There are three levels of incoming migration: Level 1: Incoming migration will start if the migration index is >55 Level 2: Incoming migration will become larger if the migration index is >70 Level 3: Incoming migration will be highest if the migration index is > 85 The numbers also depend on the total number of migrants who have left their countries. Migration numbers could become larger if the country was involved in selling its population in the preceding period. The more population sold, the higher the emigration will be. Purchases of population compensate for such sales, the more population is purchased, the smaller the damage will be. Numbers are reduced in time and the effect of population purchases will slowly disappear. Other population and professional transfers do not influence migration. |
Cycrillix | Saturday, February 29, 2020 - 09:08 pm Yes, you are right. But my point is that at the notmal migration index, you gain migrants. The “default” if you will, which is around 60. The minimum needed for migration should be raided |
Daniel Iceling | Sunday, March 1, 2020 - 03:20 pm John Galt, No wonder there is no almost no migration. "Level 1: If the migration index is lower than 26: 0.03% of your population will migrate each game month." A migration index below 26 is staggeringly low, unless the country was about to fail, I don't know how the index could get that low. "Level 1: Incoming migration will start if the migration index is >55" C3's have over 55 migration index, so the total pool of migrants is spread among thousands of C3's. If we want migration to have a real impact... Emigration would have to kick in earlier, perhaps below 40 migration index. So that poorly run countries actually have people leave. Immigration would have require at least 60 migration index, otherwise C3's will take all the migrants. |
