dubletar | Tuesday, February 4, 2020 - 05:07 pm Calling all new players of Fearless Blue! The International Imperial Training Agreement is started and recruiting! The purpose of this federation is to help you learn the about all aspects of the game, spreading the knowledge to the leaders of tomorrow. This is a joint effort between the most powerful nations in Fearless Blue, in order to foster an environment that births the next wave of powerful nations. You should be prepared to dominate economically, militarily, and politically. When your nation is mature, you will split off from the organization, creating your own alliance or federation, and take your destiny into your own hands. If you want to be a warlord, a dictator, a benevolent nation, a nation of peace, etc, all of this is in your hands. All that we will do is help you understand the game and rise to power. What you choose to do with that power is up to you. Join us and rise. Send a message to "Chicago", which headquarters the International Imperial Training Agreement, or post the name of your country here. All members of the International Imperial Training Agreement will be under the direct protection of The Northern Star Alliance and the Lacerta Defense Initiative. |
dubletar | Tuesday, February 4, 2020 - 05:10 pm John Galt, Johanas, or LDI, if you would, please let me know what two members or states will be apart of this federation from your fed and I'll send invites. |
John Galt | Tuesday, February 4, 2020 - 09:33 pm Good idea. I will get back to you with which two countries to invite. They likely will not be any of mine, but I support this endeavour 100% and will keep the fed safe from any would be attackers. |
John Galt | Tuesday, February 4, 2020 - 09:56 pm Some requests Dub: Can you set the vote for chairman and vote to evict country threshold to 1%. This way, any one of us can vote ourselves in as the chairman so that we can invite worthy new players. It also solves the problem of who gets to be the chairman . We also need to be able to evict players who are ready to go (but unwilling to leave), without requiring everyone to come online to vote. Then I think vote to change rules and vote to war should be 100%, as this should never be allowed to happen. All new players who join the fed must be made aware that they are not allowed to initiate any votes, or else they will be booted. There is a risk that one of the new players could take over the fed and start evicting people, but if that happens we will just destroy them seeing as how we have all the weapons and ammo, and start a new training fed to bring the new people back into. What do you think? |
John Galt | Tuesday, February 4, 2020 - 09:57 pm First LDI country to invite: LZ4. I am waiting to hear back from Rob about our second country. |
dubletar | Tuesday, February 4, 2020 - 10:02 pm Agreed thumbs up |
John Galt | Tuesday, February 4, 2020 - 10:13 pm Only other thing, the ideology statement has some typos: "This is a joint agreement between internationl powers to train the world leaders of tomorrow. Me" Should read: "This is a joint agreement between international powers to train the world leaders of tomorrow." Easier to fix things now before we start inviting everyone. Gotta make everything perfect and professional so we can impress the newbs I am terrible at designing logos, as evidenced by LDIs terrible logo, so I will leave that part to you haha. |
John Galt | Wednesday, February 5, 2020 - 03:16 pm Dub, how do you suggest we train the members of this federation? Should we post training lessons on the forums? I know some of us run different settings, so it would be good to give the new players different perspectives on the same topics, all of which can lead to some level of success so there is no risk in deciding which one to choose. |
The_Wicked_Lady | Wednesday, February 5, 2020 - 04:40 pm Dear Fellas, I wonder if there are any outside forums that we can create just for training initiatives? I know in past years when I played, federations would create their own forums to post guides (basics) that would offer simplistic ways to understand. These items can be pinned and not lost. This way the Simcountry forum wouldn't be muddled with off topic conversations, etc. As leaders, we can all man this forum, post basic training strategies, advertise war game practices, etc. What are your thoughts? |
dubletar | Wednesday, February 5, 2020 - 06:30 pm That's what I was also thinking about Wicked. I can get something together. |
John Galt | Wednesday, February 5, 2020 - 07:16 pm I think we should keep it to the game forums and chat to be honest so that the largest audience can be reached. |
Lord Mndz | Wednesday, February 5, 2020 - 07:53 pm I think Andy can create new locked forum section to move guides to. This way it would be easy to find them. |
Zentrino | Wednesday, February 5, 2020 - 08:29 pm This is a great idea! |
smokey | Wednesday, February 5, 2020 - 11:07 pm This is awesome! |
The_Wicked_Lady | Thursday, February 6, 2020 - 04:43 am Whatever you fellas thinks is best. Let me know if I can be of any help. |
John Galt | Thursday, February 6, 2020 - 05:54 pm Hey Dub, second LDI country for now will be "The Fountainhead" |
dubletar | Thursday, February 6, 2020 - 06:57 pm Invite sent! |
ROBERT E LEE | Friday, February 7, 2020 - 04:26 am Thinks it’s best to stay in game forum and game chat |
Michael | Saturday, February 8, 2020 - 09:01 pm This is a fantastic move and idea! If you like I can contact new players in my region and forward them on to you for consideration. |
dubletar | Sunday, February 9, 2020 - 02:29 pm Excellent. Thanks! |
dubletar | Monday, February 10, 2020 - 08:19 pm I've started a documentation structure for placing all simcountry tips and descriptions in one easy to find and easy to understand place. https://northern-star-alliance.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SIMCOUNTRY/overview I'm still figuring out how to allow anonymous users to suggest changes and submissions without needing to create an account. |
Jonni | Tuesday, February 11, 2020 - 01:14 pm Collecting the user written guides in a protected forum section is a great idea! We're going to discuss in-house if/how we can make this happen |
dubletar | Tuesday, February 11, 2020 - 01:36 pm Awesome, thanks! |
The_Wicked_Lady | Wednesday, February 12, 2020 - 09:46 pm Thank you, Jonni, for all that you and my son do! |
John Galt | Thursday, February 13, 2020 - 04:54 am That sounds great Jonni. Perhaps you can create a separate forum that anyone can read but only selected players can post in. That way we can ensure some quality control on the guides being posted. |
