Cycrillix | Monday, December 9, 2019 - 10:31 pm In order to stop my rants from clogging unrelated forum pages, I have made a page speficially for discussion of the status of the staff, development, the game, its features, and anything about the game within reason here. This page does not have to solely be for arguments and debates about the game, but debate is encouraged. Please keep discussion civil. |
John Galt | Monday, December 9, 2019 - 10:35 pm Number 1 issue with the game in my opinion is war levels. |
evader23 | Monday, December 9, 2019 - 10:37 pm I agree war levels are a bit restrictive and this new mining thing kinda restrictive as well. I sort of get the realism of the mining thing if there was a way to search resources by country then it may be a little more useful |
Cycrillix | Tuesday, December 10, 2019 - 03:31 am I would quite like the resource system, if free players could build ****ing resource corps. As for my stance on the game, the devs need to make up their mind. Is the game free or not? They cant advertise a game as free and expect people to fork hand over fist to play the full version. If you advertise your game specifically as a free experience, you will mainly attract people who want to play for free. You can see now why many people dont stay for long now. If the game was actually advertised as a game you pay for, and turned into something that you pay a one off payment to get, the game would attract people genuienly interested in paying for a product, instead of free players. It just makes no sense to market a paid game to people who DONT want to pay! And John Galts idea is very interesting. I would love to see a system like this back in the game, I think it would work very well, probably even better than my proposal. |
Michael | Tuesday, December 10, 2019 - 03:52 pm @evader23 you can research resources by country, just go to the Natural Resources box on screen. I agree with Cycrillix the game does not know if it is free or not. Just recently a lot of incentives were made to free players. But the game needs to retain these players and turn them into full paying members. Maybe costs overall should be lowered. Good steps in that direction have been lowering the cost of purchasing a country from 300 gold coins to 30, and lowering costs on defense. |
Letsie | Wednesday, December 11, 2019 - 12:01 am Alright it is time for my 2 cents in this conversation. I am one of those players that keeps on coming and going. My first ride in this game was something like 10 years ago. For the past 6?/7? I have been playing as Letsie. This ride has been an interesting one. The gm's have added features, changed the rules and done lots of things that I really like. Having said that here is the situation I am now at. I have 2 empires. One with 23 countries one with 3. I have 3 good running ceo's. I have lots of money, got enough resources that I can manipulate the markets on 2 worlds. Got some friends got a decent defense.... what now? I can keep fighting c3's but that is boring as fuck. The scale becomes bigger as the war lvls increase up to the point that it is simply not even funny anymore. There is also 0 change of losing such a war. It might give me more land but I already have 26 and since ther is little fun in a war I won't do that. The trading system is fun but when you as 1 player can mess up whole worlds with the sheer volume you can buy and sell it gets boring pretty quickly. Waging war on players is almost impossible right now thanks to the war lvl system. Where is the fun? I am truly grateful for the gm's for creating this game but the end game content is simply not there. There is to little to do once you reach a certain threshold. I just think that is a big shame... |
Cycrillix | Wednesday, December 11, 2019 - 05:31 am I agree Letsie, the game has depth but said depth and complexity is set up in a manner where you "set and forget". Past the first few days the game becomes a waiting game.in essence, and it detracts from the experience. Maybe there should be.things like internal crises, elections, ideologies & politics to make the game more alive and.engaging |
