dubletar | Thursday, October 31, 2019 - 11:51 pm In times past, there used to exist a very popular news site called Simcountry World News. In the past, it was a best effort of html thrown together. Fast forward 10 years, it's time to bring SCWN into the modern era. What types of things would you like to be featured on the new news/fan site? |

Letsie | Saturday, November 2, 2019 - 01:00 am I would like to see a collum about the big land owners. The who, what, where and how of big real estate |
Letsie | Saturday, November 2, 2019 - 01:02 am And i am sure something could be made of the resource wars that are going to happen in 96 days from now... |
Daniel Iceling | Saturday, November 2, 2019 - 07:46 am Letsie, There are going to be resource wars in 96 days? Is that roughly when you predict the resources from the grandfathered Mining Corps will run out? It does seem kind of an oversight, that they all received similar sized deposits, and will run out en-masse, all at the same time. Markets are going to go haywire, when most of Simcountry's Mining Corps, all close within the space of a few days. Signed President of DanNation on LU |
Letsie | Saturday, November 2, 2019 - 08:00 am I am sorry for being overly dramatic I do not believe that the game will crash or that the markets will become a total mess. The GM’s will step in to prevent things like that and I still like the idea and the implications. But certain resources will become harder to come by then others. I am already looking at countries that have uranium and carbon and I know that I am not the only one and that those are not the only resources people are looking for. A little bit of extra drama has never hurt this game. |
ROBERT E LEE | Saturday, November 2, 2019 - 08:12 am LETSIE i dont know where you got such an idea., theres never been a war over resources ! never ever, ever . |
Letsie | Saturday, November 2, 2019 - 08:19 am SORRY LEE!! I messed up, I should not have said anything about our plans!! #please ignore the posts about resource wars everybody!! |
Daniel Iceling | Saturday, November 2, 2019 - 08:49 am Letsie, Speaking of Carbon. There is already a massive shortage. With Demand over x12 supply on LU. Meanwhile, instead of new ones being opened we just lost another 2 Carbon Mining Corps on LU. With total Carbon Mining Corps falling from 286 to 284 over the last 3 days. No need to wait another 96 days. If you have your eye on untapped Carbon deposits, feel free to seize them and start producing now. Haha. Signed President of DanNation on LU |
Anthony King | Saturday, November 2, 2019 - 11:12 am STOP I SAY STOP |
John Galt | Saturday, November 2, 2019 - 12:35 pm Resource wars will only be possible on FB as you can conquer the hundreds of inactive starter countries that clutter every world without raising your war level. If you conquer c3s for resources eventually your war level will be so high that it wont be worth the cost. Another reason for everyone to just come to FB. When the 60 days to WL3 rolls out on FB it will be the only world worth playing on. |
Daniel Iceling | Saturday, November 2, 2019 - 02:46 pm John Galt, That's one possibility. The other way it could go, is all the little guys on FB just get insta deleted. Because there is nothing they can do against an army worth x100 more than their entire empire. So those players relocate to the other worlds. And FB becomes home to like five mega players and no one else, lol. Signed President of DanNation on LU |
Lord Mndz | Saturday, November 2, 2019 - 03:01 pm I think mega players already have the agreement no to delete anybody, but rather try to help others not to be deleted |
Daniel Iceling | Saturday, November 2, 2019 - 03:12 pm Lord Mndz, Hopefully, although there won't be much war, if everyone is agreeing all the time, haha. |
John Galt | Saturday, November 2, 2019 - 03:44 pm I have no intention of bashing new players and would come to their aid if it were happening. The way I see things, the activity will not come so much from current players, but rather from new players. I think current players are conscious about the delicate state of the game population and will not actively do things to suppress it. I think new players come to the game and are bored because war levels make war impossible, and lets be realistic, most players want to have wars. No war level security blanket will force new players to interact with others and form federations. New feds will pop up and new rivalries will form, and I think that is where the activity will come from. Or maybe I am completely wrong, but thats how I see it playing out. I do intend to raid inactive countries though for resources, but initially I will refrain from active pvp until the population gets higher. If new people want to battle other new people I will gladly watch haha. |
ROBERT E LEE | Sunday, November 3, 2019 - 09:26 pm LDI is WATCHING. pinktator has returned to fb glory to him and all that follow |
The_Wicked_Lady | Monday, November 4, 2019 - 04:02 pm One of the largest milestones in this game was the addition of SHOE CORPORATIONS this year! After many years of lobbying for shoes for our little barefooted sim peeps, their toes are now soooooooooo warm and comfy!!!! Our military are adequately equipped with protective boots. Thanks to strong advocacy by players like LordMndz, this dream of mine for years has come true!!!!! Andy made me a very happy Mommy! Now, my biggest pride and joy, from my years of being a member of the Simcountry community, IS my son, Andy. He is a very special young man. I would like to add a commemorative piece about my past federations in the game and some of its members. Every player, past and present, has significantly made Simcountry through the years. While these players may not be here today, their stories live on! |

The_Wicked_Lady | Monday, November 4, 2019 - 11:52 pm I am so excited to see FB come alive again! It was one of my favorite worlds in game days of old! |
