John Galt | Saturday, September 21, 2019 - 03:13 pm The most powerful fleet on Little Upsilon is setting sail on a world tour to celebrate the recent updates from our creator Andy. We will be conducting freedom of navigation exercises to ensure unrestricted commerce between nations and to keep the pirates from the savage lands at bay (anything not Lacerta is considered to be savage). We will also be searching for answers to important questions like does the earth wrap around at the edges or will you fall off? Where is Atlantis? LDI 1st Fleet (CV Pink Floyd, CG Lacerta, CG Virgina Bella, FFG Salem Kadury and FFG Unicron West) setting sail!

Lord Mndz | Saturday, September 21, 2019 - 03:48 pm Nice to see this 😈 How much weapons do they carry on? Probably even lvl5 c3s are not afraid |
John Galt | Saturday, September 21, 2019 - 04:13 pm That group of 5 fleets has combined total of 2000 Cruise Missile Ships, 2000 Guided Missile Frigates, 1000 NFP, 2050 Navy Missile Batteries, 8 Nuclear Subs & 2 Aircraft Carriers. It is extremely expensive to maintain this in terms of manpower and supplies. Weapon and Ammo cost isn't horrible given that you need fewer weapons. A cruise missile ship and guided missile frigate is probably equivalent to maybe 8 MRMB each in terms of firepower and survivability, so it is a decent amount of fighting ability for the small size. This entire fleet burns around 30 million tons of gasoline per month to give you an idea of fuel cost haha. It is the cost of convenience and not being completely dependent on nearby bases. My plan is to make a second identical fleet for my peacetime force. |
Lord Mndz | Saturday, September 21, 2019 - 04:50 pm Nice, is it then more effective to clear batteries in garnisons with fleets instead of mid range batteries |
John Galt | Saturday, September 21, 2019 - 05:29 pm I would still think batteries are more effective because even though a cruise missile ship is stronger than MRMB the number of soldiers required to man it is not proportional to its strength. Fleets are mainly for rich people to flex haha. The biggest thing about the change is that fleets are useful now, but it’s still going to cost you an arm and a leg. |
Lord Mndz | Saturday, September 21, 2019 - 05:46 pm I agree it is always nice to play with fleets. Will need to run couple test rounds to check how to add them to my army. |
Letsie | Saturday, September 21, 2019 - 11:28 pm This looks awesome! |
Letsie | Sunday, September 22, 2019 - 12:12 am Do not forget to pay my lands a visit! |
Letsie | Sunday, September 22, 2019 - 12:23 am And I am upset that you have not named a ship after me! :P |
John Galt | Sunday, September 22, 2019 - 03:50 pm |
John Galt | Sunday, September 22, 2019 - 03:51 pm The 1st Fleet has just completed their first port call at my closest ally Johanas in the great nation of The Pinktator Memorial. Our next stop will be across Pinktator Bay to visit the strongest economy on Lacerta. The great empire of Letsie.
|
John Galt | Sunday, September 22, 2019 - 04:09 pm We have arrived on the shores of Letsie's great empire. Cruise missiles have been set to disarm to avoid any accidental discharges.

Michael | Sunday, September 22, 2019 - 08:41 pm My country Arheimar on the island in West Walton would welcome your fleet in the interests of global peace. Your sailors are encouraged to take shore leave and enjoy the hospitality of my country. Let me know when your ships arrive so that cheering throngs may greet your ships accompanied by a band, fireworks and balloons. |
Michael | Sunday, September 22, 2019 - 09:00 pm @John and Johannes - in further appreciation of your fleet sailing round the world, my country would welcome any of your countries from the LDI to set up a navy depot in my country. |
John Galt | Sunday, September 22, 2019 - 10:14 pm Next stop, Wicked Lady. The fleet will be procuring new shoes for all its personnel. This will be the last stop in Lacerta before venturing out to the savage lands. Goodbye to the civilized world.

Letsie | Sunday, September 22, 2019 - 11:07 pm And here I was wondering why all my fisherman were returning to port! Nice to see your fleet cruising around the world. It might be a good idea to load up on some extra supplies. I have heard rumors that they do not even know how to do a Bourrée... |
Michael | Monday, September 23, 2019 - 04:18 pm My country will show that not all the savage lands are savage and that rare civilizations exist elsewhere in the world. |
