Andy | Tuesday, March 13, 2018 - 10:57 am Support functions are now fully in the hands of the player and will never kick in. There are no automatic interventions under any conditions. We are now also changing the beginners support functions to cover all countries if the player decides to turn on the support. It will become an easy/vacation mode. You just need to turn it on if you want it. There are however some cases that may require interventions. Examples: 1. If a player is not able to login for a long time and his empire is failing. This is the case now with ARIES. He is currently unable to play and his empires are failing. We would hate to see it disappearing after all these years. We think that if someone does not login for say 3 weeks, or ??? We should have the support function prevent a disaster. Not make him richer, just keep it reasonable until the time he is back. 2. If the education index of a country goes very low, the country will be lost. It is impossible to come back from an education index of 2 or even 50. Players who come back to see their education at very low levels leave the game. It is very hard to restore. We think that if the education index goes under 70, the education support system should kick in. We would like to hear your opinion on these two conditions: - No login for a prolonged period. - Education index at a very low level. |

SuperSoldierRCP | Tuesday, March 13, 2018 - 05:53 pm Reguarding Aries, Last I heard he was checked into the Hospital undergoing his Cancer Treatment. Havent heard anything recently, but I will keep you guys informed if you like. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Andy, I fully support the prolonged period of support in certain cases. Cases which the community is well aware of the situation like Aries being Hospitalized, or if you recall many years ago Aaron(AKA TattooedPriest) getting ill before his passing(May he rest in Peace). I think its important to protect these empires, but I also think that at some point we should seek liquidation of assets. I would say the GM should protect these empires up to 3 months after the last log in date. After which point the GM should auto sell off all material assets stored in the CEO's and countries then transfer the remaining cash assets to the players account before closing the Empires/Enterprises. Worse case the player returns to find their empires gone, but at least they have MASSIVE reserves in place to help them rebuild. I'm favorable of the educational support if there was a time cap. I think that that feature should only be active during the first 60-90 days of the buying/conquering of a country. After 2-3 months a player should have the experience or ability to grow there own educational system. If they log in frequently and still let it fall into disarray that is their own issue that they must deal with. However, the exception to this rule is they haven't logged in lets say 14 days. If they haven't logged in within 14 days the feature should kick in as a protective measure. I support this feature as a protective measure not another babysitting feature fore active players. |

Lord Mndz | Wednesday, March 14, 2018 - 05:34 am Hi all, Why it is impossible to come back once you have a very low education? You can simply transfer teachers from another country by contract and build all schools needed to recover the index. Many countries have extra teachers and will be happy to exchange them to other types of specialists. Regarding inactive players who have some decent assets - I think it is up to community to decide whether an empire needs to be protected or not and it could be decided by having Security Council to vote on this. This is how it may work - once player who has empire worth more than X number of GCs is inactive for more than 2 months a vote is being triggered and Security Council has few options to vote on: 1. Add war protection for an entire empire (1-2months) 2. Drop the countries/CEOs and transfer as many Gold Coins to player's account as the empire was worth |
RGB | Wednesday, March 14, 2018 - 07:16 am sorry but COUNCIL SECURITY is broken, as it is right now. Just a taken advantage ploy like recent times have shown. Theres no need for players to vote on something the gamemaster already determines. I simply believe the assets if they cannot be claimed via war, just need to do what they do but rather then just registered put up the country atleast for some value; as the market gets all its supplies that is dumped. So it just needs to (when so) hits the fan just needs to be a better opportunity. to note: Hopefully Aries comes back as it would be unfortunately awful to lose all those assets. |
Lord Mndz | Wednesday, March 14, 2018 - 06:15 pm I think we all agree that game assets should be saved, so we just need to find the best way. There are many options: 1. remove all war protections and let countries to be taken by other players 2. after some period of inactivity move everything to players account to allow him recover when he is back. 3. freeze everything for some period of time. |
Andy | Saturday, March 17, 2018 - 03:21 pm I think that some automation in extreme cases, balancing education and preventing it from going down the drain is needed. This does not mean that such countries will prosper. People who do not extend their membership will eventually see all their assets disappear. We will not let Aris disappear unless he chooses for. |
