Theinventor1012 | Thursday, December 22, 2016 - 07:22 am I was wondering when Trump plans on building a Wall. Also I wonder what it is going to be made out of. He probably needs to make it clear exactly what he means by a wall, whither he means a 100foot cement wall with a land mine field or two in front of it guarded by border patrol or a simple fence. Of all things Trump has said he really never made this clear. |
Zen | Friday, December 23, 2016 - 12:27 pm Chinese steel |
Aaron | Tuesday, December 27, 2016 - 01:55 am Due to budget restrictions the wall will consist of 5 evenly spaced stop signs. |
Guido Nordhaus | Wednesday, December 28, 2016 - 02:25 pm As a German all I can say is that we do have some experience with building walls, so if you need a consultant I'd be available for hire, provided the US can still afford y salary after January. If my CV does not fit, you might be interested into looking to hire North Korean talent. They're pretty good at building walls, too, I hear. |
The_Wicked_Lady | Thursday, December 29, 2016 - 05:23 pm I propose building a wall out of shoes. Shoes have always served me well in Sim Country. I'm sure they can serve America as well! :-D Guido, I will happily review your curriculum vitae. :P |
Yankee | Thursday, December 29, 2016 - 11:13 pm THAT'S how he intends to make Mexico pay for the wall. Build it out of the shoes they take from people crossing the border!!! |
The_Wicked_Lady | Friday, December 30, 2016 - 03:42 pm Yup lol Brilliant idea, right?! ha ha ha ha |
Theinventor1012 | Sunday, January 1, 2017 - 09:56 pm In reality his wall will probably be a fence, probably not a 100foot cement one guarded with troops like he lead some people to believe. |
Theinventor1012 | Sunday, January 8, 2017 - 05:43 am Maybe Trump will use the people who cross the border, like Yankee said but instead he will have them work in metal mines to mine the steel, in factories that make the fence, and have some actually lay the fence. In this way Mexico would completely (pay) for the wall in years of hard labor for there crimes of illegal border crossing. Why deport when you can make those millions work for free? I wonder if Trump has thought of this;If so he could have a plan to continue it after the wall is complete. |
SeizeForce | Sunday, January 8, 2017 - 02:40 pm You can't make people 'work' for you, or force them to. Even if they had committed crimes. That's unconstitutional. Looks like some people really won't let go of slavery, it seems. Perhaps they're used to it. |
Demonikist | Monday, January 9, 2017 - 01:57 am Well actually the 13th Amendment states.. "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction." So if they are convicted criminals then I believe it would be constitutional. |
SeizeForce | Monday, January 9, 2017 - 03:01 am Good point, but the 8th amendment also states cruel and unusual punishment cannot be used by the government as well. I think using prisoners as labor slaves for the wall would fall under that. |
Yankee | Tuesday, January 10, 2017 - 12:54 am which of course well all know making someone work is both cruel, and unusual these days. |
Johanas Bilderberg | Tuesday, January 10, 2017 - 01:38 pm Next you will be expecting people to support themselves. |
Yankee | Tuesday, January 10, 2017 - 04:00 pm Me? Nah, I enjoy 34% of everything I make going for things I'd never buy on my own. Not to mention a 350% increase over the last 4 years in health insurance costs tacked on top. I had a good year in 2016 so I'm sure there are many out there relying on that, and hoping I don't get sick. I wouldn't want to disappoint anyone. |
Johanas Bilderberg | Wednesday, January 11, 2017 - 12:21 pm Millions on welfare are depending on you. Too bad you can't claim them as dependents on your taxes. |
Guido Nordhaus | Wednesday, January 11, 2017 - 01:41 pm Yeah, solidarity in a society, who needs shit like that, right? (As someone living in what basically amounts to a "free healthcare socialist utopia": Everyone needs it, that's who.) |
Yankee | Wednesday, January 11, 2017 - 10:53 pm Guido, You ever hear the saying "there is no such thing as a free lunch?" There is no such thing as "free healthcare" either. |
Johanas Bilderberg | Thursday, January 12, 2017 - 02:26 pm Solidarity. Funny word that. When does society start taking responsibility for it's own life? I am not talking about quadriplegics, the elderly, or the severely mentally handicapped. It's a given that some people are unable to care for themselves. And no one should have a problem with doing that. I am talking about otherwise healthy individuals who have the ability to work and care for themselves and choose not to. What is the responsibility to care for them? |
UnitedCEO Market Manager | Wednesday, February 1, 2017 - 03:52 am Well I guess it looks like wall construction has started |
Andy | Tuesday, February 7, 2017 - 10:07 am don't think so. |
