saw/read a bunch of posts on this economic supply problem, but no one giving any insight into it.

so here is what I've found so far.

The surplus is bugged on White Giant, affecting all orders for companies and countries alike. If orders are cancelled, it WILL decrease, if orders are filled by any other means the surplus will only increase never to decrease giving us the massive shortages...

I.E: Services are -300M surplus. My company has 30M sitting in an undelivered order. I cancel the order and the surplus for Services DECREASES to -270M.

Same starting scenario...Services at -300M/company at 30M back order... I change the order to immediate purchase, and the Services surplus either stays at -300M or increases to an amount over -300M(doesn't register that the product has been purchased and delivered so the surplus never decreases).

Because of this, the surplus of all products seem to be forever decreasing.

Doesn't seem to be affected as to the quality requested(started at 160->180->205->250), purchase orders are still not filled unless converted to immediate purchase...which doesn't decrease the surplus like it should).

Hope this helps to pinpoint the problem.

To everyone playing you can help mitigate the damage caused by this problem...STOP IMMEDIATE ORDERS FOR COMPANIES!!! Order with your country then transfer to the companies and CANCEL THE COMPANY ORDERS.

This will decrease the surpluses to some extent, possibly taking them out of the negative...?

I have been doing direct transfers for products such as power and service etc.. But all the others would be time consuming, I do have plenty of shuttles. I think their is a real deep seeded issue we are not privy to.

The problem is that buy orders are piling up, but probably 80% of the corps on the server are shut down right now, so nothing's being produced and no orders are filling. Thus, shortages will keep getting deeper until we can get corps back to being fully online.

no Al, it is most certainly not because of lack of production. It's because the surplus is always going down, but never goes back up, pushing it further and further to the negative.

I think this directly relates to the orders being placed, but not being filled which leads to no production due to shortages.

If you cancel orders for stuff you are short on, the surplus WILL increase(from - to +), but if the order is fulfilled by any other means, the surplus never increases(this amount is no longer in demand) and sometimes the surplus decreases further(from - to more -). This further decrease could just be a timing coincidence from another order being added/updated surplus from server at the same time as the order was fulfilled.

If there was zero production, then there would be no product to fulfill any order, and this is obviously not the case as you can fill all orders thus far by other means afaik.

So you agree with me.

It's not that there's literally no production on the planet, it's that there's very little. So stuff will fill eventually, but not reliably, which means most things stay shut down.

Direct transfers is time consuming, this should be fixed ASAP.

negative Al.

The production is there, it's sitting at the docks.

all qualities and quantities.

you can buy 100,000,000 of just about anything at any quality...the product(ion) is there.

The server isn't registering it as being there for the supply/demand index(surplus)...

Therefor, even though there are goods sitting there at the quality you requested and within the price you requested, it's saying there is no product within your limits and it won't fill the order, leaving the product sitting on the docks.

When you cancel the order, it adjusts the supply/demand index(surplus) accordingly, but it won't adjust it by any other means that I have found thus far. So when you replace the order with an immediate order, it has the product to fill the order (every time, without delay no matter what quality or quantity), but it doesn't remove the amount from the surplus, letting it slip further and further into deficit.

I haven't noticed any products in the green going to red. So I think this problem is only isolated to the products that were red when whatever caused this happened. If so, it might be possible to "push" the reds back to greens by cancelling orders. This might reset the "production lock" on them and allow them to start being traded as normal.

Can any one confirm current greens always on declining surplus, or are they behaving normally?

Hope it gets fixed soon. Would hate to waste $4 a month on a system that is broken.

That has not been my experience. For example, look at carbon. Those supply spikes(one of which is still visible) are me selling off an old stockpile I had on one of my countries. I put up a sell order, it went into the graphs, reduced the deficit, and sold normally. Likewise, I've been keeping my corps going, and they're all selling 100% of their product as normal, none have excess unpurchased stuff. The market is working fine, so far as I can tell.

My country has now crashed with 1.00T in debt due to the ongoing economic situation on WG -I am not putting more money into the country to the issue at hand -the server going down is fixed -this needs to be addressed as has been going on for almost two weeks now.

looks like it's fixed now only shortages are in industries that are in short supply.
