Sunnyknight | Friday, October 23, 2015 - 11:32 pm IF i was looking to practice for war, hypothetically, would it be possible to take over a c3, and transfer all of my pre built units to that country? I wouldn't want to dismantle them in any way, but i wouldn't want the units to be my main countries, in that i would use a slave for all my war purposes. Is this possible and how could i go about this? Thanks |
Orbiter | Saturday, October 24, 2015 - 04:18 am i think you can loan mobiles to yourself, if you fed up, but other wise, i don't think so |
Sunnyknight | Saturday, October 24, 2015 - 11:25 am So i'd have to dismantle and direct sale them to the slave country? That's a fricking bummer. |
Orbiter | Saturday, October 24, 2015 - 12:32 pm can't you transfer, at 1/3 the volume? |
Sunnyknight | Saturday, October 24, 2015 - 03:00 pm I suppose i could, was just looking for a quick way of doing it without hassle. Last thing i want to do is prep over 150 units from the beginning again ----SEPARATE QUESTION---- Is anyone able to shed some light on how i could transfer weapons to a enterprise without having to directly buy them? (can they also be transferred in a similar way?) Thanks, SK |
Aries | Saturday, October 24, 2015 - 03:12 pm I think the only option not mentioned is shuttles. I use them extensively, often just to deploy the exact number of weapons I intend to upgrade, that I purchased from my enterprise, matched with an ammo stock I intend to upgrade along with. |
CrackerJack | Saturday, October 24, 2015 - 05:03 pm Country/country transfers involve military cap & I,m pretty sure you pay $. (you can always move $ around in direct trade). Country/CEO, I imagine, is the same. Aries, could you clarify that use of shuttles? |
Zentrino | Saturday, October 24, 2015 - 07:25 pm I use shuttles as well. No $ cap. |
Orbiter | Saturday, October 24, 2015 - 09:24 pm transfers from the empire menu, count against your spending limit, but don't cost money. and go at about 1/3 the market value. its the way things where done before shuttles. a person could drop a GC for spending in a slave, and transfer huge amounts of weapons. you could direct sale things from your CEO, to you main, non-fighting countries, then transfer. you could also take over several C3s, for location, or what ever, then use their spending limit to buy, or direct sales, then transfer. given follow up, could amount to multiplying the military size of a country in the pre-war waiting period. (setting all your corps to 10% hiring also frees up manpower for your army, but does allot of damage to your own econ, but it works in a pinch.) this still is valid for some non-shuttle-able items like Cruisers, and Frigates, (at least i think they still wont load into shuttles, haven't tried for a long time.) as far as shuttles go, they changed things, its allot easier to just load you space center, set auto-transport orders, that by-pass all spending limits, and offers the ability to transfer the weapons/ammo of mega war mammoths from a stock pile in a CEO, or even another planet. Which is something i once did. i had a couple of cash cows, with a skeleton defense, be declared on by a couple of mega-war mammoths. inside of 48 hours, i transfer enough weapons from my empire on WG to LU, to make a 1-2 vs 3-4 ranked fight. my opponent chose to negotiate a cease fire. |
Putin | Sunday, October 25, 2015 - 01:15 pm Sell them me! |
Sunnyknight | Sunday, October 25, 2015 - 01:27 pm I don't understand how i would transfer my weapons to another CEOs (or my own CEO if i make one) space center? Would i have to direct sale them? Sorry, i'm not too good with all this storage stuff. Could someone let me know in steps? (sorry for being a pain in the ass) So i'm guessing it would be something along the lines of:- 1. Setup a new ceo and buy a space center 2. What now? etc etc. Edit: I'd be looking to keep my CEO on the same world as me, ie KB. Would this make a difference? |
SirSmokesAlot | Sunday, October 25, 2015 - 05:34 pm You need to either buy or produce space shuttles. Then move the country stock into space center. Then transport from country to ceo, both ceo and country have to have a space center. This is the fastest way to transport items. It makes no difference if the ceo is on a different world because you can transport items from any country on any world to any other country or ceo on any world. |
Sunnyknight | Sunday, October 25, 2015 - 06:06 pm Right okay, i get it. Thanks, i'll look into this, and maybe a few shuttles, dependent on price vs quality. Thanks all |
Dillon789341 | Saturday, November 14, 2015 - 04:17 am why is it, when atacking a sim country for the second time, most weapons wont work? had one all but taken, and the last three items, when I tried to bomb, no bombs were droped; could not destroy them with anything I had. also, most of the munitions that I had, I could not use at all. I did find out that cruise missiles only would work on destroying cities, but were are the rules of engagement so I know how to play? |
Aries | Saturday, November 14, 2015 - 04:44 am Check the war documents. The weapon section will say what is effective against what and just how effective. |
