marshal.ney | Wednesday, June 24, 2015 - 11:50 pm After initializing the IPO... going to a secondary game entity (country or enterprise) - sometimes the corporation that was IPO'ed does not show up in either of the 2 lists (high to low, low to high valuation.) As a country, I can scroll through the lists of corporations, view the corp, and scroll/click down to shares - then purchase. As a CEO, purchasing a state controlled IPO, I've been going to the country, then doing the above. Am I missing something? Wouldn't it be worthwhile to list more pages in the stock market? (the view by P/E ratio I think is limited for new IPO's by processing lag time.) There seems to be a gap in some of the corporations types in value, limiting their availability (or at least advertising they are available). Thoughts? |
Letsie | Thursday, June 25, 2015 - 11:14 am This happens to us al. Those lists are simply not working because they only show the top and bottum but nothing in between. You just have to search for the corps manualy |
Orbiter | Thursday, June 25, 2015 - 12:53 pm o jeese, i cringe to say this, but the easy way... if you open 2 broswer tabs, in one, you open the share page of your country shares. (in this order,) then leave that alone and in the second tab, you go to your CEO, after you go to your ceo, doing nothing else, switch to the first tab, right click, on "buy" next to the corp you want, select open in a new tab, it will still think your in your CEO, and buy shares for your CEO, so you use the share page of your country, after you've opened your CEO, to buy shares of country public corps via your CEO, the easy way if i get it right, your looking for an easier way to buy your country shares, via your CEO. thing is, in a browser, it will only recognize the most recent entity you've accessed, but you can have an old page up, in an old browser tab, from something else, and click on it, like your in the second thing, rather than the first. this is true when fighting wars, each browser will only recognize one country, but if you use chrome, firefox, and IE, they can each operate a different country, so you can some what fight from multipul countries at the same time. its been a while since i've done any fighting, but it probably still works that way hope that helps, and hope the GM don't change things |
Aries | Thursday, June 25, 2015 - 03:33 pm I do it mostly how Orbiter said. Tough to explain but basically the last entity you opened is the one you are controlling, regardless of what you have open in other tabs. This allows you to continue to view a corporation, a corp list, or anything while you switch to your CEO and can act on those corporations. Getting comfortable with this makes purchasing shares, whether with your CEOs or investment funds, much easier. |
marshal.ney | Thursday, June 25, 2015 - 11:32 pm That sounds a lot easier then empire overview, choose enterprise 1, view corporations, select a corp I know to be in the targeted country, view corp, view country, business index, list corporations, view specific targeted corporation, scroll to shares, buy shares. Gets a little hectic getting 3 game entities all in. On the plus side, the timing works out about right for processing time. I'll try the multiple tab idea if I start running into processing time problems. Think I'm going to suggest more pages and a search function. Would that be worthwhile? |
