Andy | Wednesday, October 22, 2014 - 12:30 pm 1. War Levels After fighting 4 wars against C3 countries at your current war level, your war level will auto increase. Increasing war levels win you gold coins on all the five worlds but the number of gold coins is higher on the Fearless Blue world. When starting a war against a C3 country, you can now choose between multiple options. You can start a war at a higher war level. Winning such a war will move you to the next war level. You can start a war against a C3 country at the same war level you are. Such a war will win you the resources in the country and will move you to the next war level only after you win 4 such wars. A new option, allows you to start a war against a C3 country at war level 3. The war may win you the country but there are no money rewards. The feature is added on request of some players for strategic reasons, trying to win a country closer to an area where they intend to fight a different war. 2. Cost of Weapons and Ammunition The base price of many types of weapons and ammunition is reduced again. The reduction is around 5% but in some cases up to 10%. Some types have not changed at all. The change is a continuation of the reduction in the cost of war. 3. Setting up New Corporations When setting up a new corporations, the choice depends on your current game levels. This is now changed. The choice now depends on the highest game level you have reach any time in the past with the empire the country belongs to. 4. Corporation Hiring Levels When a corporation reduces its production for lack of workers or materials, the minimum hiring levels used to be 10%. The minimum hiring level is now reduced to 5%. 5. Common Markets A common market can have a maximum number of 25 members. The max number is now imposed also in cases when players are accepting invitations. 6. Military Bases, military airports and fortifications The number of military bases in a country used to depend on the numbers of weapons and military units. The rules became confusing when players started trading in military bases and were limited in their trading policies by the size of their own army. We have now simplified the system and removed the dependency on the size of the army. A country can order a max number of 100 military bases or military airports of each type. When the number is reached, manual orders for military bases and airports will be prohibited. However, corporations that contract such bases and military airports or fortifications to the country will be able to do so without any limitations. |
Khome y Peng | Wednesday, October 22, 2014 - 07:04 pm What are the sc cash and gc rewards for each war lvl achieved ? |
Jack | Wednesday, October 22, 2014 - 08:22 pm So let's be clear - Starting today October 22, 2014 once you fight Four wars against a C3 at your current level you will automatically go to the next level. The four war count starts today - right? As of this moment my count will be zero wars as I have not fought any C3 wars at my level today - correct? I just want to be clear on the rule so I know what to expect and like Khome I want to know the SC cash and GC rewards for each level. The devil is in the details. I like the other changes except the common market limit on members. That seems to unnecessarily restrict free trade. Can you give us a reason why you think that is a good change? I just gave you a reason why it isn't a good idea. |
Jackwagen | Wednesday, October 22, 2014 - 08:26 pm Good deal but let's not limit CM numbers or fed numbers |
Lucky | Wednesday, October 22, 2014 - 08:30 pm I well chuffed with the base limits been changed. Thank you. |
Andy | Wednesday, October 22, 2014 - 10:16 pm do you want me to copy the GC award section from the manual for you? It is there in the past several years. War count from this morning when the upgrade took place. |
Jack | Wednesday, October 22, 2014 - 11:49 pm Thanks for your response on the war count. You didn't answer my question on why you are limiting the number of common market members. I had already checked the documentation. I just thought that the way you hyped this change all up in the past weeks that the GC were going to be increased significantly but as it turns out there is not going to be any additional reward for moving up in war levels. Just the same old rewards as you said "It is there in the past several years." I am curious was anyone else led to believe gold coin rewards were going up with the war levels when this change was being sold to us? |
Andy | Wednesday, October 22, 2014 - 11:54 pm The limitation is now new. It was there from the start. the reason for the 25 member limit is that larger blocks will give the members a very strong advantage over people who are not members of such a common market. If at some point in the future there will be MANY common markets with 25 members we might gradually increase the max number. We also make it quite hard to have an empire with more than 30 countries. It is very hard to keep it profitable. again, what is the chance anyone would like to start playing when you are up against huge empires. |
Lucky | Thursday, October 23, 2014 - 12:07 am "again, what is the chance anyone would like to start playing when you are up against huge empires" Andy I think the GM is wrong with this line of thinking. I remember when I first stated playing many years ago and there where huge empires out there. It didn't put me off in the slightest. Infact it motivated me to play. I wanted to challenge them. |
Lucky | Thursday, October 23, 2014 - 12:08 am Now everyone with similar empires there's no spice to it |
Andy | Thursday, October 23, 2014 - 12:32 am In the past, it was nearly impossible to have 18 countries. the government cost went wild. we have now larger empires. Max population now is 300M used to be 60M much more to do and such a country can become very very profitable. now imagine a common market with 25 countries, all at 250M+ population. this will be much more powerful than ever before. it could have 10.000+ corporations and include all products. nobody ever tried that before. |
Borg Queen | Thursday, October 23, 2014 - 01:08 am *pscht* dont you tell them my secret plans Andy ;) About the fighting 4 countries and then auto-leveling up your War Level: Will this be true for current counts as well and also for lower war-Levels or only for upper war levels? I'm wondering as I'm WL2 with 5 wars won atm and the System telling me if I win one more war it'll be auto-Level for me to WL3. Will this mean one can win 8 wars and still be at WL2? 1 war WL0->WL1, 4 wars WL1->WL2, 3 wars WL2? |
Dejan Bogdanovic | Thursday, October 23, 2014 - 01:54 am I'd lake to ask you some questions Andy: -Was there a CM member limit before you imposed it? -What happens if there's a CM that already has more than 25 members before you impose the limit? I'm T.Wo. |
Jackwagen | Thursday, October 23, 2014 - 04:29 am There has been a "25 limit" since I stated but players have still been able to request invitations as such my cm has 40 plus members regardless of the rule... Lol.... Let people join whatever CM they want... There is enough friction and conflict between players that there will always be atleast a few blocs this idea that there will be huge blocs of players and the poor newbs will be left out and disadvantaged to the extent that they quit is pure fantasy... Newbs are a valuable commodity and my federation/cm are always hunting for new players.... The only way that people will be disenfranchised is if you continue with these arbitrary limits that are half enforced anyways... What happens when an experienced group of players with 25 countries wants to include a couple new members.... |
SirSmokesAlot | Thursday, October 23, 2014 - 09:25 am So if you have 150 forts and a corporation building forts under contract you can have more then 150? Would that reduce the amount of pts lost per fort? |
Andy | Thursday, October 23, 2014 - 04:06 pm Points lost per fort are starting to count at the 150 level. larger numbers will improve your defense. we think that in the future, a better solution should be found. |
Borg Queen | Thursday, October 23, 2014 - 10:56 pm Andy, how about my question? Will the Change on how many wars can be fought only apply to higher war Levels or also to lower war Levels? And if it also affects lower WLs will those allready at WL2 will have the possibility to also utilize the increased amount of possible wars before been leveled to WL3? |
craigwilliamson79 | Friday, October 24, 2014 - 05:11 am I wouldn't mind these big stupid empires so much if they actually consisted of countries that are worth more than a c3. |
Rage Fury | Friday, October 24, 2014 - 11:03 pm Yep just had a new player denied entry into an experienced player's CM. To bad. Now they get to 'wing it' out in the wild. Arbitrary caps suck.. |
Jack | Friday, October 24, 2014 - 11:43 pm I fully agree with Rage Fury. Please abolish the limit on CM members. |
Andy | Saturday, October 25, 2014 - 12:58 am We did not change anything for level 2 and 3. we will look into it and if the rules seem confusing, we may simplify and extend the new system to the lower war levels. |
Jackwagen | Saturday, October 25, 2014 - 09:06 pm this isn't working . Setting up New Corporations When setting up a new corporations, the choice depends on your current game levels. This is now changed. The choice now depends on the highest game level you have reach any time in the past with the empire the country belongs to. i got this message You cannot build this corporation. You are playing in Game Level 3. In order to build this corporation you need Game Level 4. |
Jackwagen | Saturday, October 25, 2014 - 09:06 pm and yes i have reached game level 4 but i went back down to level 3 |
