Someone use the Simcountry Wiki?
its a good wikia, a little desolated but lately it is reviving thanks to the efforts of some members.
I would like to know who this community often uses the wiki itself and are interested in future use (those without)
I attached the link, just in case

We need any veteran here with his/her head in the game and that has some spare time to share a hand in updating gameplay related articles so they can be used as references by younger players. Most of the information regarding economics, war, units, etc... Is horribly outdated. I am sure many of you here remember the Church of Simcountry and its Manual. Is it still in order? Can we safely promote it in the wiki for reference? Or should I just lodge it into the archives...

Aussteigen the 2 you mention seem ready to pull the plug on. most things created a long time ago may not hold relevance anymore.

I remember using the Church Manual as a guide for when I first played Simcountry. Much of the information there is still pretty relevant, because the game hasn't changed that drastically since the manual was made. Many of the tips and information it provides is also pretty general and still make sense even now. I think it should be promoted as a "suggested" reference.

Yes I thought so, perhaps it may be slightly outdated but the values the ten commandments promote, and again as Satomi mentioned above can be used by the new players. Anyway the offer is still up and we would appreciate anyone's help.

My statement means, that with no update, its good ref in some areas, but some of the parameters and info in some areas are too misleading and limited. There are more ways to play the game than by just those numbers involved that works good or better than those some areas suggest. I've made the game work in many ways and know there is no one true way as the variables makes it change. I do understand the ethical value of some rules and standards and it does address some pitfalls. IDC what you do to it all. Its better if the good was taken and used to make a better version. yes that main page of breaking down the game in three areas is very relevant. no doubt. it the some that appears misleading that makes my reaction.
If I had the time I would help point out more specifics. I also do not feel comfortable editing a page which is not mine as well.

The church manual I have on this page is the latest update which was well over a year ago: http://churchofsimcountry.webs.com/churchmanual.htm More likely than not it is the last update. Given that the sandbox/competitive elements that drove my high activity are more or less gone, there is little reason for me to do so. I only use this game as an occasional time-passer nowadays.

http://simcountry.wikia.com/wiki/Church_of_Simcountry This page or any other page on the wiki is free to edit. You have my permission, but you don't need it. The purpose of the wiki is for multiple users to share information. Feel free to rip anything that still applies from the first link as well. My opinion of the wikia pages regarding the church of simcountry do more harm than good given how atrociously outdated and lacking in content they are. It would probably be better to ignore those and create a newbie reference page that links to other wiki pages so that pages like "health index" or what have you get traffic and usable content. Something that people feel comfortable editing and is watched by a mod or mod-like person in order to keep it clean.

thanks mizore, the web page link is better than the wikia page. BTW Thanks for the link and what you have done to help new players.
Do you think a page with links to the Sim Docs w/ a user commentary on such might be a better way to refer to some of the content? I am not sure it is possible to like the game docs that way but was wondering of others thoughts. I know the docs are not always up to date, but are updated more than some of the old guides that I have used in past.
Of course some topics, the docs might not address clearly is that commentary i speak of that may also be needed with the link.
